Philip Barzilla
Philip Joseph Barzilla (born January 25, 1979) is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Houston Astros in . Amateur career A native of Houston, Texas, Barzilla attended Dulles High School (Sugar Land, Texas), Alvin Community College (Alvin, Texas), and Rice University. In 2000, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Barzilla was selected by the Houston Astros in the 4th round of the 2001 MLB Draft. Professional career Barzilla made his only major league appearance on June 11, 2006 for the Astros against the Atlanta Braves, and faced only two batters. Brian Jordan singled off Barzilla before Todd Pratt flew to center field to end the inning. Barzilla's 1/3rd of an inning is the second shortest career of an Astros pitcher after Larry Yount's appearance in which he was injured whilst warming up on the mound and never threw a pitch. Round Rock Express
The Round Rock Express are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. They are located in Round Rock, Texas, and play their home games at the Dell Diamond. The team is named for Baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, who was nicknamed "The Ryan Express." Ryan, along with son Reid Ryan and Don Sanders make up the team's ownership group, Ryan Sanders Baseball. The Express were established as a Double-A team of the Texas League (TL) in 2000. They won the Texas League championship in 2000. Round Rock was replaced by a Triple-A Pacific Coast League team in 2005. The Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL or Cape League) is a collegiate summer baseball wooden bat league located on Cape Cod in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. One of the nation's premier collegiate summer leagues, the league boasts over one thousand former players who have gone on to play in the major leagues. Larry Yount
Lawrence King Yount (born February 15, 1950) is a former professional baseball player. Yount (whose younger brother is Hall of Famer Robin Yount) shares the unique distinction of being one of two pitchers in Major League Baseball (MLB) history to appear in the official record books without ever actually having faced a batter. In his only major league appearance—on September 15, 1971—he had to leave the game during his warm-up pitches due to injury. Early career Yount went to Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California, and was a fifth round draft pick in the 1968 Major League Baseball Draft. He impressed in the Carolina League in both 1968 and 1969 (he had a 2.25 ERA in 1969), and was invited to spring training at the major league camp in 1970 and 1971. Todd Alan Pratt (born February 9, 1967) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) catcher, playing from 1992 to 2006 and is the current manager for the Jupiter Hammerheads. He primarily served as a back-up catcher for most of his career. Pratt was the head baseball coach and athletic director at West Georgia Technical College (West Georgia Tech), a member of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association from 2011 to 2016 and the owner/head coach of the Carrollton Clippers (formerly known as Douglasville Bulls), a summer wooden-bat collegiate team playing in the Sunbelt Baseball League from 2009 to 2016.
