Phil Cunningham (basketball)
Phillip Tucker Cunningham (born ) is an American college basketball coach. Cunningham was the Head Coach of Troy University from 2013 to 2019, compiling 80 wins throughout his six year tenure. During his time with Troy, Cunningham led the school to their first 2017 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, NCAA tournament appearance in 14 years after winning the 2017 Sun Belt Conference men's basketball tournament, 2017 Sun Belt Conference tournament championship. Cunningham was named the head coach at Troy after coach Don Maestri retired after serving as head coach at Troy for 31 years. Born in Paducah, Kentucky and a native of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Cunningham played collegiately at Kentucky Wesleyan College. After two seasons playing for the Panthers, where he won a Division II national championship in 1987, Cunningham decided to transfer to Campbellsville College (now known as Campbellsville University) to play for his father. Phil Cunningham (folk Musician)
Philip Martin Cunningham, MBE (born 27 January 1960 in Edinburgh, Scotland) is a Scottish folk musician and composer. He is best known for playing the accordion with Silly Wizard, as well as in other bands and in duets with his brother, Johnny. When they played together, they would egg each other on to play faster and faster, and try, light-heartedly, to trip each other up. Phil has also collaborated with numerous other great Celtic musicians; one prominent example of this is his partnership with Aly Bain. The duo have (as of 2020) released nine albums, and between 1989 and 2019 they had a yearly spot at the New Year's Hogmanay Live broadcast on BBC Scotland. Biography Cunningham played accordion and violin from a young age. He attended school in Portobello, and was raised Mormon, attending church regularly and playing organ. Philip Cunningham (born 7 December 1974 in Macclesfield, Cheshire) is an English guitarist who is a member of the bands Marion, New Order, Bad Lieutenant, ShadowParty and, more recently in 2020, Sea Fever. Marion Cunningham is a member of the Britpop group Marion, which formed in Macclesfield in 1993. Along with singer Jaime Harding and fellow guitarist Tony Grantham, Cunningham has writing credits for all of the band's songs. After Marion's second album, '' The Program'' (recorded with Johnny Marr), frictions within the band began to take their toll; as a result, after heading to America for a fresh start, the band went their separate ways in 1999. Cunningham joined Electronic as a touring guitarist, working again with Marr and Bernard Sumner from New Order as they promoted their third album ''Twisted Tenderness''.
