Phil Clark (director)
Phil Clark (born Philip David Clark, Brecon) is a theatre director and writer, specialising in work for young people. Biography Clark trained at the Rose Bruford College and in 2007 received a Phd. in ''Creating and Developing a policy for young people and emerging artists in a regional theatre'' from the University of Glamorgan Starting as a founding member of Theatre Powys in 1972, he became the Artistic Director of Newcastle upon Tyne's Bruvvers Theatre Company from 1975 to 1982. In 1983, he joined the Tyne Wear Theatre Company as a director and established the UK's largest annual youth theatre festival. The position of Artistic Director of the Crucible Theatre in Education followed from 1985 to 1989. Rose Bruford College
Rose Bruford College (formerly Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance) is a drama school in the south London suburb of Sidcup. The college has degree programmes in acting, actor musicianship, directing, theatre arts and various disciplines of stagecraft. Its undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications and programmes were validated by the University of Manchester, until it received taught degree awarding powers in 2017. It is a member of the Federation of Drama Schools. Iwan Tudor
An iwan ( fa, ایوان , ar, إيوان , also spelled ivan) is a rectangular hall or space, usually vaulted, walled on three sides, with one end entirely open. The formal gateway to the iwan is called , a Persian term for a portal projecting from the facade of a building, usually decorated with calligraphy bands, glazed tilework, and geometric designs. Since the definition allows for some interpretation, the overall forms and characteristics can vary greatly in terms of scale, material, or decoration. Taliesin Arts Centre ( cy, Canolfan y Celfyddydau Taliesin) is owned and managed by Swansea University and is located on the university's Singleton campus in Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom. The Centre opened in 1984. Stephen Hawking gave the inaugural lecture at the Centre's opening. ''Danny, the Champion of the World'', or simply Danny, is a 1975 children's book by Roald Dahl. The plot centres on Danny, a young English boy, and his father, William. They live in a Gypsy caravan, fix cars for a living in their mechanic shop and partake in poaching pheasants. It was first published on February 14, 1975 in the United States by Alfred A. Knopf, Inc. and in the United Kingdom by Jonathan Cape. It was adapted into a made-for-TV movie in 1989 by Thames Television which starred Jeremy Irons as William and Robbie Coltrane as Mr Victor Hazell.
