''Phata Poster Nikhla Hero'' () is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film features Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead roles, and was released on 20 September 2013 to a mixed to positive response from critics. The film's premise borrows loosely from the 1989 Mithun Chakraborty-starrer ''Guru'', which itself was a remake of Tamil film, ''Kaakki Sattai'' starring Kamal Haasan, a 1985 Tamil hit. Rajkumar Santoshi is an Indian film director, producer and screenwriter of Hindi films.
