Huỳnh Tấn Phát
Huỳnh Tấn Phát (15 February 1913, near Mỹ Tho, French Indochina – 30 September 1989, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) was a South Vietnamese communist politician and revolutionary. He was a member of the First National Assembly (Democratic Republic of Vietnam), chairman of the ''Revolutionary Government'' of South Vietnam, and, after unification, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam. He studied architecture at the Hanoi University. After his degree he became editor of the anti-French magazine ''Jeunesse'' (Youth) and a founder of the Vanguard Youth movement. Huỳnh Tấn Phát joined the Communist Party of Vietnam in March 1945, and began revolutionary activities in Saigon, whereupon he was appointed Deputy Director of ''Information and Press Committee'' for the South. When the French re-occupied Saigon after World War II, they had him arrested and sentenced to two years in prison. Lâm Văn Phát
Major General Lâm Văn Phát (1920 – 30 October 1998) was a Vietnamese army officer. He is best known for leading two '' coup'' attempts against General Nguyễn Khánh in September 1964 and February 1965. Although both failed to result in his taking power, the latter caused enough instability that it forced Khánh to resign and go into exile. A member of the Roman Catholic minority, Phát joined the French-backed Vietnamese National Army which became the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) after the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) was established. After having been sent to the U.S. for further training in 1958, Phát returned home to head the Civil Guard, a paramilitary force then mostly used to protect the ruling family of President Ngô Đình Diệm, rather than to counteract the communist Việt Cộng insurgency. Gordon Allan "Phat" Wilson (December 29, 1895 – July 26, 1970) was a Canadian amateur ice hockey forward who won the Allan Cup three times as a member of the Port Arthur Bearcats. Regarded as one of the top amateur players of his time, Wilson was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1963. Hockey career A native of Port Arthur, Ontario, Wilson did not even know how to skate when he joined the town's church league in 1914. Serving as a substitute, he improved his skating enough that he earned a full-time role on his team the following year and played two seasons of junior hockey before joining the Port Arthur War Veterans senior team at the age of 18. Wilson moved to Iroquois Falls, Ontario for a season to play in the Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA) in 1921–22 before returning to Port Arthur a year later to play for the Port Arthur Bearcats. Richard Temple-Nugent-Brydges-Chandos-Grenville, 1st Duke of Buckingham and Chandos (20 March 1776 – 17 January 1839), styled Earl Temple from 1784 to 1813 and known as the Marquess of Buckingham from 1813 to 1822, was a British landowner and politician. Phat (card Game)
Phat is an English trick-taking partnership card game derived from the 17th century game of All Fours.Oxford Dictionary of Card Games, p. 193, David Parlett, It is not considered a stand-alone game, but instead a variation of this one. It is quite similar to Don, shortened from ''Pedro Dom'', the name applied to the Five of trumps from the game Pedro, but with the game score resembling the 9-card Don variation, played in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The object The aim of the game is to score points by winning tricks containing valuable cards which may give an immediate score to the team that wins the trick to which they have been played. Further points are pegged after the end of the play by the team that has collected more than half of the "muck" in their tricks. There are 88 points in each deal - 80 phat plus 8 for the muck.
