Phantasm (franchise)
''Phantasm'' is an American horror film series that consists of five films, novels, comic books, and merchandise. It is mainly about the Tall Man (Angus Scrimm), a supernatural and malevolent undertaker and the main antagonist who turns the dead into dwarf zombies to do his bidding and take over the world. He is opposed by a young boy, Mike (A. Michael Baldwin), who tries to convince his older brother Jody (Bill Thornbury) and family friend Reggie (Reggie Bannister) of the threat. The first film was released in 1979, received generally positive reviews and has garnered a Cult film, cult following. Gloria Lynne Henry is an American actress best known for her role in the film '' Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead''. Henry was born in Detroit, Michigan and her first experience in front of the camera was a role in the TV movie ''Bare Essence'' in 1982. Robert Kurtzman (born November 25, 1964) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, and special effects makeup artist. Career Kurtzman began his career in 1984 when he moved from his hometown of Crestline, Ohio, to Hollywood, California, to pursue his interest in prosthetic makeup, better known as special makeup effects. In 1988, along with Gregory Nicotero and Howard Berger, he formed K.N.B. EFX Group, a special makeup effects studio which has gone on to work on over 400 film and television projects.
