Petyr Baelish, nicknamed Littlefinger, is a fictional character in the ''A Song of Ice and Fire'' series of fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Martin, and its television adaptation ''Game of Thrones''. Introduced in 1996's '' A Game of Thrones'', Littlefinger is the master of coin on King Robert's small council. He is a childhood friend of Catelyn Stark, having grown up with her and her two siblings at Riverrun. "The Dragon and the Wolf" is the seventh and final episode of the seventh season of HBO's fantasy television series ''Game of Thrones'', and the 67th episode overall. The novel was first published on October 17, 2005, in the United Kingdom, with a United States edition following on November 8, 2005. Because of its size, Martin and his publishers split the narrative of the still-unfinished manuscript for ''A Feast for Crows'' into two books.
