Petrovac, Republika Srpska
Petrovac ( sr-cyr, Петровац) is a municipality located in Republika Srpska, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated in the western part of Republika Srpska and the central part of the Krajina region. Petrovac was created from a small part of the pre-war municipality of Bosanski Petrovac, whose remaining portion kept the original name and is a part of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The municipality seat is the village of Drinić. Geography Petrovac is a rural municipality, consisting of villages Bunara, Drinić and Podsrnetica and parts of Bravski Vaganac, Bukovača,and Klenovac. It is located between municipalities of Bosanski Petrovac in the north and west, Ribnik and Istočni Drvar in the east, and Drvar in the south. Under the "Law on Territorial Organization and Local Self-Government" adopted in 1994, Republika Srpska was divided into 80 municipalities. After the conclusion of the Dayton Peace Agreement, the law was amended in 1996 to reflect the changes to the entity's borders and now provides for the division of Republika Srpska into 64 municipalities. Drvar
Drvar (, ) is a town and municipality located in Canton 10 of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 2013 census registered the municipality as having a population of 7,036. It is situated in western Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the road between Bosansko Grahovo and Bosanski Petrovac, also near Glamoč. Drvar lies in the vast valley, the southeastern part of Bosanska Krajina, between the Osječanica, Klekovača, Vijenca and Šator mountains of the Dinaric Alps. The southeast side of boundary extends from the Šator over Jadovnika, Uilice and descends to Lipovo and the Una River. This extremely hilly region comprising the town of Drvar and the numerous outlying villages covers approximately 1,030 square kilometers (640 square miles). Istočni Drvar ( sr-cyrl, Источни Дрвар) is a municipality located in western Republika Srpska, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. it is situated in the central part of the Bosanska Krajina region. The seat of the municipality is in the village of Potoci. History In 1995, following the end of the Bosnian War, Istočni Drvar was created from part of the pre-war municipality of Drvar (the other part of the pre-war municipality is now in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).
