Petro Dyachenko
Petro Havrylovych Dyachenko (January 30, 1895 - April 23, 1965) was Ukrainian Military Leader, commander of the Black Zaporozhets, the 2nd division of the Ukrainian National Army, the anti-tank brigade "Free Ukraine". Military ranks — colonel of the Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic (from June 23, 1920), corporal general (with seniority from October 15, 1929; order Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic, No. 6, February 1, 1961). The regiment of Black Zaporozhets under the leadership of Petro Dyachenko distinguished itself in the battles near Sydoriv and Voznesensk. Mykhailo Omelyanovych-Pavlenko called the Black Zaporozhian regiment the best regiment of the Ukrainian Army. He graduated from the Real School in Myrhorod . Hadiach Raion
Hadiach Raion ( uk, Гадяцький район; Romanization of Ukrainian, translit.: ''Hadyats'kyi Raion'') was a raion (district) in Poltava Oblast in central Ukraine. The raion's Capital (political), administrative center was the city of Hadiach, which was incorporated separately as a city of regional significance (Ukraine), city of oblast significance and did not belong to the raion. Myrhorod ( uk, Ми́ргород, ) is a city in the Poltava Oblast (province) of central Ukraine. Mykhailo Omelianovych-Pavlenko ( uk, Михайло Омелянович Павленко; 8 December 1878 – 29 May 1952) was the Supreme Commander of the Ukrainian Galician Army (UHA) and of the Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic. Later, he served as defence minister for the Government-in-exile of the Ukrainian People's Republic. Early life Mykhaylo Omelianovych-Pavlenko was born in Tiflis (present-day Georgia). His father, Volodymyr, was an officer in the Russian Imperial Army. His mother was of a Georgian aristocratic family. Omelianovych-Pavlenko attended the military academy in Petersburg, graduating in 1900. He had a younger brother Ivan who later was fighting along with him.
