Dejan Petković
Dejan Petković ( sr-Cyrl, Дејан Петковић, ; born 10 September 1972) is a Serbian football pundit and retired footballer. In his native country he is widely known under the nickname Rambo while in Brazil he is known as Pet. He played six times for the FR Yugoslavia, scoring one goal. Petković played for seven Brazilian clubs in his career, and was made an honorary consul of Serbia in Brazil. Ilija Petković
Ilija Petković ( sr-Cyrl, Илија Петковић, ; 22 September 1945 – 27 June 2020) was a Serbian footballer and manager. Petković was capped 43 times for Yugoslavia, participating in the 1968 European Football Championship, and in the 1974 FIFA World Cup where he scored a goal in a huge 9–0 win against Zaire. He played much of his career in OFK Beograd, with a mid-career stint playing for Troyes. He began his coaching career in 1990 with his original club, OFK Beograd, and he went on to coach numerous other clubs. Bruno Petković (; born 16 September 1994) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Dinamo Zagreb and the Croatia national team. Early career Petković was born in Metković, Croatia. His father Jakov Petković hails from Metković and his mother Ruža Nižić is a Herzegovinian Croat from Crveni Grm near Ljubuški. Vladimir Petković (; born 15 August 1963) is a Bosnian-born Swiss professional football manager and former player who was most recently the head coach of French side Bordeaux, having previously managed the Switzerland national team, a string of Swiss clubs, Turkish club Samsunspor, Italian club Lazio. Marija Petković, also known as "The Blessed Mary of Jesus Crucified Petković"; (Croatian: ''Marija od Propetoga Isusa Petković'', Italian ''Maria Di Gesù Crocifisso''), (10 December 1892 - 9 July 1966) was the founder of the Catholic Congregation of the Daughters of Mercy. Zlata Petković ( sr-Cyrl, Злата Петковић; 11 February 1954 – 3 December 2012) was a Serbian actress, model, television host and singer. She was Miss Yugoslavia 1971 and is best known for her role as Marija in the 1970s Yugoslav television series ''Povratak otpisanih''. Nikola Petković ( sr-Cyrl, Никола Петковић, ; born 28 March 1986) is a Serbian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Club career Petković began his career with FK Vojvodina with which he played excellently in the 2006–07 Serbian SuperLiga season. Foreign clubs became interested in his services and he subsequently signed for Gençlerbirliği S.K., where he got less playing time and was loaned to two different clubs. Milivoj Petković (born 11 October 1949) is a Bosnian Croat army officer who is among six defendants convicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), in relation to the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia during the Bosnian War. He was sentenced to 20 years in jail but only served four. The ICTY Appeals Chamber affirmed almost all of the convictions against Petković and his co-defendants, as well as their original length of sentence, on 29 November 2017. Vladislav Petković Dis ( sr-cyr, Владислав Петковић Дис; 10 March 1880 – 30 May 1917) was a Serbian impressionist poet. He died in 1917 on a boat on the Ionian Sea after being hit by a German torpedo making him also remembered as a war poet. Biography Vladislav Petković was born in Zablaće, a village near Čačak, in the Principality of Serbia. He made his way to Čačak, graduating from the Gymnasium and Teacher's College in 1902. He was appointed temporary teacher at Prlita, a village near the town of Zaječar. He did not like teaching, and his small output of poetry brought him little income. In 1903, he moved to Belgrade, and became prominent in the literary life there, when his poems appeared in ''Idila'', a literary magazine. Eva Haljecka Petković
Eva Haljecka Petković (1870–1947) was a Serbian physician and an activist for the rights of women doctors. She was the first female gynecologist in the Balkans, the first head of the Department of Maternity and Women's Diseases in Niš, and the first woman who performed a caesarean section in Serbia. Early years and education Eva Haljecka Petković was born in 1870, in a village of Congress Poland, at the border with the Russian Empire. Eva's mother died during her childbirth.
