Petersville is a civil parish in Queens County, New Brunswick, Canada. For governance purposes it is divided between CFB Gagetown and the local service districts of Wirral-Enniskillen and the parish of Petersville. Wirral-Enniskillen is part of Regional Service Commission 11 (RSC11) and Petersville Parish is part of the Fundy Regional Service Commission (FRSC). Origin of name William Francis Ganong states that the parish was named in honour of Harry Peters, then Speaker of the House of Assembly. Peters' tenure as Speaker actually ended in 1827 but he continued to serve as MLA until 1843. Harry's brother Charles Jeffery Peters was Attorney General of New Brunswick when the parish was erected. Lepreau is a civil parish in Charlotte County, New Brunswick, Canada, west of Saint John. For governance purposes, the southern part of the parish is part of the incorporated rural community of Fundy Shores, while the north is part of the Southwest rural district, both of which are members of the Southwest New Brunswick Service Commission. Burton is a civil parish in Sunbury County, New Brunswick, Canada. For governance purposes it was divided between the town of Oromocto, the Indian reserve of Oromocto 26, CFB Gagetown, and the local service district of the parish of Burton. Origin of name The parish was named in honour of Ralph Burton, military commander-in-chief in Montreal at the time of its establishment as a township. History Burton was first established in 1765 as a Nova Scotia township. Burton was erected in 1786 as one of the original parishes of Sunbury County. The parish extended further inland than the township. In 1835 the rear of the parish was included in the newly erected Blissville Parish. In 1896 the boundary with Blissville was altered along the Nerepis Road. In 1949 the boundary with Blissville was changed back to its pre-1896 course.
