Peterson Peçanha
Peterson dos Santos Peçanha (born 11 January 1980) is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper, and is a manager. Playing career Born in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro, Peçanha began his career with Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, but did not make any official appearances for the side. In 2001, he signed for Bangu Atlético Clube, again failing to have an impact, and subsequently moved on to América Football Club also in Rio de Janeiro. Peçanha played for three modest clubs in the next three years: Novo Horizonte Futebol Clube, Ríver Atlético Clube and São Raimundo Esporte Clube (AM). In 2005, he was bought by F.C. Paços de Ferreira of Portugal, initially as a backup to youth product Pedro. He made his Primeira Liga debut for the team against C.D. Nacional, in a 0–1 home loss on 21 August 2005. São Gonçalo () is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. It is on northeastern Guanabara Bay in the Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Area. Pedro Miguel das Neves Correia (born 22 November 1974), known simply as Pedro, is a Portuguese former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He played solely for Paços de Ferreira in his professional career. Club career Pedro was born in Paços de Ferreira. Joining hometown's F.C. Paços de Ferreira when he was just 10 years old, he was given his Primeira Liga debut by coach José Mota in a 1993 match against S.C. Salgueiros, and went on to make 325 competitive appearances for the club. In 2002–03, as a starter, Pedro helped Paços to achieve a sixth place in the league, a feat repeated in the 2006–07 season, this time good enough for qualification for the UEFA Cup, although he was a backup during the latter campaign. Pedro retired from football in June 2009 aged 34, but stayed connected with his only professional club, working as goalkeeper coach under several managers. Óscar René Cardozo Marín (; born 20 May 1983) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a striker for Club Libertad and the Paraguay national team. Known for his powerful left-foot shot and free-kick skills, he first gained attention whilst playing for Newell's Old Boys, which led to a move to Benfica in 2007. He scored nearly 200 official goals for the Portuguese club and won eight major titles, including the 2010 national championship, where he also was the top scorer, and the domestic treble in the 2013–14 season. A penalty kick (commonly known as a penalty or a spot kick) is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot at the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. It is awarded when an offence punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area. The shot is taken from the penalty mark, which is 11 m (12 yards) from the goal line and centred between the touch lines. The 2007–08 UEFA Cup was the 37th edition of the UEFA Cup, UEFA's second-tier club football tournament. The final was played at the City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester, England on 14 May 2008 between Rangers of Scotland and Zenit Saint Petersburg of Russia.
