Jacques Linard
Jacques Linard (1597, Troyes - September 1645, Paris) was a French painter who specialized in still-lifes. Biography Linard was baptised on 6 September 1597. His first records of being of artist was in the 1620s. He was married in 1626 to the daughter of a Parisian Master Painter. In 1631 he is quoted as a painter. His father, Jehan Linard, was also an artist, known to have been active in Troyes towards the end of the 16th century. None of his works are currently known, although guild records refer to him as a "Master Painter". The earliest record of Jacques' presence in Paris comes from 1626. Five years later, in 1631, he married Marguerite Tréhoire (died c.1663), daughter of the painter Romain Tréhoire (died 1635). That same year, he was first officially recorded as a painter and a " Royal Chamberlain". Pieter Boel
Pieter Boel or Peeter Boel (baptized on 10 October 1622 – 3 September 1674) was a Flemish painter, printmaker and tapestry designer. He specialised in lavish still lifes and animal paintings. He moved to Paris, where he worked in the gobelin factory and became a painter to the king. Pieter Boel revolutionized animal painting by working directly from live animals in a natural setting. He thus arrived at representations of animals showing them in their natural, characteristic poses. He had many followers in France. Louise Moillon (1610–1696) was a French people, French still life Painting, painter in the Baroque era. It is recorded that she became known as one of the best still life painters of her time, as her work was purchased by King Charles I of England, as well as French nobility. Louise Moillon is also known for her Flemish style that is present in her artwork. Moillon created about 40 artworks during her lifetime which are held in museums and private collections. Simon Vouet (; 9 January 1590 – 30 June 1649) was a French painter who studied and rose to prominence in Italy before being summoned by Louis XIII to serve as Premier peintre du Roi in France.
