Peter Tripp (diplomat)
Peter John Tripp CMG (27 March 1921 – 11 December 2010) was a British diplomat. Biography Born in 1921, Peter Tripp was educated at Bedford School. He served in the Royal Marines during the Second World War and in the Sudan Political Service between 1946 and 1954, when he joined the British Diplomatic Service. He was Political Agent in the Trucial States between 1955 and 1958, Head of Chancery in Vienna between 1958 and 1961, and served in various diplomatic posts in Bahrain and Amman between 1961 and 1968, before being appointed as Head of the Near Eastern Department at the Foreign Office in London between 1968 and 1970. Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service
His Majesty's Diplomatic Service (HMDS) is the diplomatic service of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, dealing with Foreign policy, foreign affairs and representing British interests overseas, as opposed to the Civil Service (United Kingdom), Home Civil Service, which deals with domestic affairs. It employs around 14,000 people, roughly one-third of whom are crown servants working directly for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, either in London or abroad. The remaining two thirds of staff are employed locally by one of nearly 270 British diplomatic missions abroad (such as embassies, consulates or high commissions). Justin Ikeem Staples (born December 10, 1989) is an American football linebacker who is currently a free agent. He played college football for the University of Illinois. He has been a member of the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans. Early years Staples played high school football at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio. He was named to the Cleveland Plain Dealer All-State team as a linebacker his senior year, recording 92 tackles, seven sacks, one interception, 11 pass break-ups, six forced fumbles and two recovered fumbles. He was also picked for the Big 33 Football Classic, which at the time featured the best Pennsylvania and Ohio seniors. David Cole (diplomat)
Sir David Lee Cole, KCMG, MC (31 August 1920 – 28 May 1997) was a British diplomat. He was British High Commissioner to Malawi from 1964 to 1967 and British Ambassador to Thailand from 1973 to 1978. Cole was born at Newmarket, Suffolk, the son of Brigadier D. H. Cole, CBE, LittD, and Charlotte Cole (''née'' Wedgwood). Cole was educated at Cheltenham College and Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, where he was an exhibitioner and took first-class honours in History. His university studies were interrupted after one year by the Second World War, in which he served with the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers from 1940 to 1945 in India, Iran, Madagascar, and Italy. He was awarded the Military Cross in 1944, for his actions during the crossing of the Garigliano river. Sam Falle
Sir Samuel Falle (19 February 1919 – 20 February 2014) was a British diplomat and decorated Royal Navy officer. He served as Ambassador to Kuwait and Sweden, and High Commissioner to Singapore and Nigeria. Career Falle was educated at Victoria College, Jersey. He served in the Royal Navy 1937–48 and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross "for gallantry in the face of overwhelming odds whilst serving in during her last action in the Java Sea on 1st March, 1942".
