Peter Skipper
Peter Dennis Skipper (11 April 1958 – 23 April 2019) was an English association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football), central defender. Skipper turned professional when he signed for Hull City A.F.C., Hull City in January 1979. He then had spells at Scunthorpe United F.C., Scunthorpe United and Darlington F.C., Darlington before returning to Hull in August 1982. He made over 300 appearances for the club, scoring 19 goals. He moved to Oldham Athletic A.F.C., Oldham Athletic in 1988, and went to play for Walsall F.C., Walsall and Wrexham A.F.C., Wrexham before finishing his career at Wigan Athletic F.C., Wigan Athletic. Skipper died of complications caused by a stroke on 23 April 2019, at the age of 61. Stroke
A stroke is a disease, medical condition in which poor cerebral circulation, blood flow to the brain causes cell death. There are two main types of stroke: brain ischemia, ischemic, due to lack of blood flow, and intracranial hemorrhage, hemorrhagic, due to bleeding. Stafford () is a market town and the county town of Staffordshire, in the West Midlands region of England. It lies about north of Wolverhampton, south of Stoke-on-Trent and northwest of Birmingham.
