Peter R. Hunt
Peter Roger Hunt (11 March 1925 – 14 August 2002) was a British director, editor and producer of film and television, best known for his work on the ''James Bond'' film series, first as an editor and then as a second unit director. He finally served as director for ''On Her Majesty's Secret Service''. His work on the series helped pioneer an innovative, fast-cutting editing style. Biography As an infantryman, Hunt served in Salerno, Italy, in 1943. After working in several forms of employment, Hunt worked as an assistant cutter for Alexander Korda, before working as an assembling editor on ''The Man Who Watched Trains Go By''. After several B-movies, he served as the supervising editor on ''A Hill in Korea''. The following year, Hunt edited ''The Admirable Crichton'' (directed and co-written by Lewis Gilbert), becoming good friends with John Glen. ''The Admirable Crichton'' is a 1957 British south seas adventure comedy romance film directed by Lewis Gilbert and starring Kenneth More, Diane Cilento, Cecil Parker and Sally Ann Howes. Eon Productions Ltd. is a British film production company that primarily produces the ''James Bond'' film series. The company is based in London's Piccadilly and also operates from Pinewood Studios in the UK. ''Bond'' films Eon was started by film producers Albert R. “Cubby” Broccoli and Harry Saltzman in 1961, at the same time they became partners and sought financing for '' Dr. No''. The year before they formed Danjaq, which for legal reasons became Eon's holding company, from which it licenses the rights to produce the ''Bond'' films. Leslie Townes "Bob" Hope (May 29, 1903 – July 27, 2003) was a British-American comedian, vaudevillian, actor, singer and dancer. Harry Saltzman
Herschel Saltzman (; – ), known as Harry Saltzman, was a Canadian theatre and film producer. He is best remembered for co-producing the first nine of the ''James Bond'' film series with Albert R. Broccoli. He lived most of his life in Denham, Buckinghamshire, England. Early life Saltzman was born in a hospital in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, the son of Jewish immigrants Abraham Saltzman and Dora Horstein. Raised in Saint John, New Brunswick for the first seven years of his life. His father, a horticulturalist, immigrated to the US in 1905 from Kozienice, Poland (then the Russian Empire), marrying Dora in 1909. The couple moved to Canada in 1910 where their four oldest children (Minnie, Florence, Harry and Isadore) were born, before moving the family to Cleveland, Ohio where their youngest son, David, was born.
