Peter Queally (hurler)
Peter Queally is an Irish former hurler and Gaelic footballer who played for Waterford Championship club Newtown-Ballydurn and Cork Championship club Sarsfields. He played for the Waterford senior hurling team for 14 years, during which time he usually lined out at midfield. Playing career Club Queally plays his club hurling with his local club Newtown-Ballydurn GAA in Waterford. The club presently participates at Junior level. Due to his profession as a Garda, Queally was stationed in Cork City for a number of years. Because of this, Queally also had a stint playing for Sarsfields GAA of Glanmire in the Cork Senior Hurling Championship in the late 1990s. Waterford Intermediate Football Championship
Waterford Intermediate Football Championship is a second tier Gaelic Athletic Association competition between Gaelic football clubs organised by Waterford GAA. The winning club is eligible to play in the senior grade the following year for the Waterford Senior Football Championship. The winning club also represents Waterford GAA in the Munster Intermediate Club Football Championship. Each of the two divisions of Waterford GAA - East Division and West Division - organises its own competition, with the two winners contesting the county final. Derek S. Lyons is an American attorney and former White House Staff Secretary and Counselor to the President in the administration of former U.S. President Donald Trump. Education Lyons was a student of Strake Jesuit College Preparatory, from which he graduated in 2000. He went to Duke University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in 2004. In June 2007, Lyons was a student of Harvard Law School and worked as a Summer Associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Lyons graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2008. Fergal Hartley
Fergal Hartley (born 4 February 1972) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a centre-back for the Waterford senior team. Born in Ballygunner, County Waterford, Hartley first played competitive hurling during his schooling at De La Salle College. He arrived on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Waterford minor team, before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 1993 championship. Hartley went on to enjoy a lengthy career and won one Munster medal. Hartley was a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions. At club level he is a one-time Munster medallist with Ballygunner. In addition to this Hartley has also won eight championship medals. Throughout his career Hartley made 26 championship appearances for Waterford. 2013 Waterford Senior Hurling Championship
The 2013 Waterford Senior Hurling Championship was the 113th staging of the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment in 1887. The championship ended on 13 October 2013. De La Salle were the defending champions, however, they were defeated at the quarter-finals stage. Passage won the title, following a 3-16 to 3-13 defeat of Ballygunner in the final. Waterford Senior Hurling Championship
The Waterford Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Senior Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Waterford County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1897 for the top hurling teams in the county of Waterford in Ireland. The series of games are played during the spring, summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at Walsh Park in October. Initially played as a knock-out competition, the championship currently features a group stage followed by a knock-out stage. The Waterford County Championship is an integral part of the wider Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship. The 2001 Railway Cup Hurling Championship was the 74th series of the inter-provincial hurling Railway Cup. Three matches were played between 10 November 2001 and 11 November 2001 to decide the title. It was contested by Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster. Munster entered the championship as the defending champions. On 11 November 2001, Munster won the Railway Cup after a 1-21 to 1-15 defeat of Connacht in the final at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh. It was contested by Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster. Connacht entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Munster at the semi-final stage. The GAA Interprovincial Championship ( ga, An Corn Idir-Chúigeach) or Railway Cup (''Corn an Iarnróid'') is the name of two annual Gaelic football and hurling competitions held between the provinces of Ireland. The Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster GAA teams are composed of the best players from the counties in each province. The games are organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. The Railway Cup was a revival of the Railway Shield which ran from 1905 to 1907 (football) and from 1905 to 1908 (hurling). Munster Junior Football Championship
The Munster Junior Football Championship is a gaelic football tournament between the six counties of Munster: Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Clare and Waterford. It is the third-tier county teams playing off in a single-elimination tournament with 2 quarter finals instead of 4 (as of 2014). The cup was first given to the winners in 1957.
