Peter Marshall (UK Broadcaster)
Peter Marshall (born 11 April 1945 in Derry, Northern Ireland) is a British Television presenter, broadcaster. He was educated at St. Columb's College in Derry. Broadcasting career Television He became an announcer at Ulster Television, in 1967, and moved to Anglia Television in 1970. After a brief spell at Southern Television, he became well known as an in-vision announcer for Thames Television from 1976, also announcing during this period for Associated Television Network, ATV and HTV West, and presenting a weekend show on BBC Radio 2. He remained a Thames announcer until the company ceased broadcasting as an ITV (TV network), ITV contractor, announcing on its final day (31 December 1992) although by then he was not seen in vision. For a long period in the 1970s and 1980s he co-hosted the Miss United Kingdom beauty pageant with Judith Chalmers, and the Miss World beauty pageant (alongside Alexandra Bastedo on one occasion). Brackets
A bracket is either of two tall fore- or back-facing punctuation marks commonly used to isolate a segment of text or data from its surroundings. Alexandra Bastedo
Alexandra Lendon Bastedo (9 March 1946 – 12 January 2014) was a British actress, best known for her role as secret agent Sharron Macready in the 1968 British espionage/science fiction adventure series ''The Champions''. Bastedo was a vegetarian and animal welfare advocate, and wrote a number of books on both subjects. Early life Bastedo was born in Hove, England. Her mother (Liberiana Dorina Rescagliova 1917–2001) was of French, German and Italian descent, while her Canadian-born father (Gilbert Lendon Bastedo 1915–1985) was of Spanish, Dutch, Scottish and native American extraction. She attended Brighton and Hove High School and Brighton School of Drama. Professional career Bastedo made her film debut as one of the title characters in William Castle's poorly received ''13 Frightened Girls'' (1963). Melody Radio was an Independent Local Radio station, broadcast to Greater London between 1990 and 1998, when it was purchased by media group Emap and rebranded as Magic 105.4. History Melody Radio launched on 9 July 1990 on 104.9 FM in Greater London with Tony Bennett's ''Strike Up The Band'', as part of the Independent Broadcasting Authority's creation of seven capital-wide services at the time. Sky Witness is a British pay television channel owned and operated by Sky, a division of Comcast. The channel primarily broadcasts drama shows from the United States, aimed at the 18–45 age group. An Italian version of Sky Witness, named Sky Investigation, launched on 1 July 2021. History Sky Witness' history can be traced back to 1993 when UK Living began broadcasting on 1 September 1993. Robert Leland Eubanks (born January 8, 1938) is an American disc jockey, television personality and game show host, best known for hosting the game show ''The Newlywed Game'' on and off since 1966. He also hosted the successful revamp version of ''Card Sharks'' from 1986 to 1989. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his radio DJ work in 2000.
