Peter Madden (actor)
Peter Madden (9 August 1904 – 24 February 1976) was a British actor who was born in Ipoh in the Federated Malay States (now Malaysia). Birth The son of Frederick Charles Linnet Butler-Madden and Margaret Teresa ( McCabe), Peter Madden's name at birth was Dudley Frederick Peter Butler-Madden. Career Madden was a character actor who made several appearances in Hammer films and was a familiar face in British film and television during the 1950s and 1960s. He appeared as the innkeeper Bruno in ''The Kiss of the Vampire'' (1963) and as the stern Police Chief in ''Frankenstein Created Woman'' (1967). His last Hammer role was brief, as a coach driver in ''Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell'' (1973). In the cult television series ''The Prisoner'' (1967), Madden, uncredited, plays the sinister undertaker in the opening sequence. The Champions
''The Champions'' is a British espionage thriller/science fiction/occult detective fiction adventure television series. It was produced by Lew Grade's ITC Entertainment production company, and consists of 30 episodes broadcast in the UK on ITV during 1968–1969. The series was broadcast in the US on NBC, starting in summer 1968. Plot Agents Craig Stirling, Sharron Macready and Richard Barrett work for a United Nations law enforcement organization called 'Nemesis', based in Geneva. ''The Wicked Lady'' is a 1945 British costume drama film directed by Leslie Arliss and starring Margaret Lockwood in the title role as a nobleman's wife who becomes a highwayman for the excitement. The film had one of the top audiences for a film of its period, 18.4 million. It was one of the Gainsborough melodramas, a sequence of very popular films made during the 1940s. ''Tom Brown's School Days'' is a 1940 coming-of-age drama film about a teenage boy's experiences at Rugby School, Warwickshire in the early 19th century under the reforming headmastership of Thomas Arnold. It stars Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Freddie Bartholomew and Jimmy Lydon in the title role. The film was based on the 1857 novel, ''Tom Brown's School Days'' by Thomas Hughes. In this version emphasis is placed on the development of Headmaster Thomas Arnold and his reformist ideas concerning the English public school. Felpham
Felpham (, sometimes pronounced locally as ''Felf-fm'') is a village and civil parish in the Arun District of West Sussex, England. Although sometimes considered part of the urban area of greater Bognor Regis, it is a village and civil parish in its own right, having an area of 4.26 km2 with a population of 9,611 people that is still growing (2001 census). Douglas Wilmer
Douglas Wilmer (8 January 1920 – 31 March 2016) was an English actor, best known for playing Sherlock Holmes in the 1965 TV series ''Sherlock Holmes''. Early life Wilmer was born in Brentford, Middlesex, and received his education at King's School, Canterbury, and Stonyhurst College. A performance as the Archbishop of Canterbury in a school play at King's School was seen by Dame Sybil Thorndike who afterward told the headmaster "If that boy, playing the Archbishop, were to take to the stage, I think that he could well make a go of it." After completing school, Wilmer applied for a scholarship at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and was accepted. Whilst in training at RADA, he was conscripted into the British Army for military service with the Royal Artillery in the Second World War.
