Peter Kurongku
Most Reverend Sir Peter Kurongku, KBE (1930 – 11 June 1996) was Roman Catholic Archbishop of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Born in 1930 at Tonnui, he was ordained a priest of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea on 21 December 1966 by Archbishop Daniel Stuyvenberg Daniel Willem Stuyvenberg ( Utrecht, Netherlands, 1909-04-14 - 1989-10-17) was Archbishop of Honiara, Solomon Islands. Stuyvenberg was ordained a priest of the Society of Mary by Archbishop Romolo Carboni on 23 February 1936. On 27 November 19 .... On 15 November 1978 he was named Auxiliary Bishop of Honiara, Solomon Islands and as Titular Bishop of Sinnuara on 25 March 1979. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. It was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V and comprises five classes across both civil and military divisions, the most senior two of which make the recipient either a knight if male or dame if female. There is also the related British Empire Medal, whose recipients are affiliated with, but not members of, the order. Bougainville Province
Bougainville ( ; ; Tok Pisin: ''Bogenvil''), officially the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (Tok Pisin: ''Otonomos Region bilong Bogenvil''), is an autonomous region in Papua New Guinea. The largest island is Bougainville Island, while the region also includes Buka Island and a number of outlying islands and atolls. Daniel Willem Stuyvenberg ( Utrecht, Netherlands, 1909-04-14 - 1989-10-17) was Archbishop of Honiara, Solomon Islands. Honiara () is the capital and largest city of Solomon Islands, situated on the northwestern coast of Guadalcanal. , it had a population of 92,344 people.
