Peter Koper
Peter Koper (January 1947 – May 21, 2022) was an American journalist, professor, screenwriter, and producer. He numbers among the original Dreamlanders, the group of actors and artists who worked with independent filmmaker John Waters on his early films. He wrote for the United Feature Syndicate, Associated Press, ''Baltimore Sun'', ''American Film'', ''Rolling Stone'', ''People'' and the website ''Splice Today''. He worked as a staff writer and producer for ''America's Most Wanted'', and has written television for Discovery Channel, Learning Channel, Paramount Television and Lorimar Television. Koper wrote and co-produced the cult movie ''Headless Body in Topless Bar'', and wrote the screenplay for '' Island of the Dead''. He has taught at the University of the District of Columbia, and Hofstra University. Gili Islands
The Gili Islands ( id, Tiga Gili [Three Gilis], Kepulauan Gili [Gili Islands]) are an archipelago of three small islands or Gili island triplets — #Gili Trawangan, Gili Trawangan, #Gili Meno, Gili Meno and #Gili Air, Gili Air — just off the northwest coast of Lombok, Indonesia. The islands are a tourist destination. Each island has several resorts, usually consisting of a collection of huts for tourists, a small pool and restaurant. Yad Vashem
Yad Vashem ( he, יָד וַשֵׁם; literally, "a memorial and a name") is Israel's official memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. It is dedicated to preserving the memory of the Jews who were murdered; honoring Jews who fought against their Nazi oppressors and Gentiles who selflessly aided Jews in need; and researching the phenomenon of the Holocaust in particular and genocide in general, with the aim of avoiding such events in the future. The Holocaust, also known as the Shoah, was the genocide of European Jews during World War II. The Polish resistance movement in World War II (''Polski ruch oporu w czasie II wojny światowej''), with the Polish Home Army at its forefront, was the largest underground resistance movement in all of occupied Europe, covering both German and Soviet zones of occupation. ''Island of the Dead'' is a 2000 Canadian horror film written by Peter Koper and directed by Tim Southam. Malcolm McDowell stars with Talisa Soto and Bruce Ramsay. Plot The story centers around a group of people that arrive at Hart Island, which has recently been purchased by real estate tycoon Rupert King to build what he calls Hope City, supposedly to help the poor and homeless of the city. The only problem is that the City of New York has been burying their unknown and unclaimed dead there since 1869. The group of people include King along with his personal assistant, a New York cop looking for a missing girl's body, and some employees from the Department of Corrections with inmates used to bury the unknown dead.
