Peter Ingram
Peter John Ingram (born 25 October 1978) is a former New Zealand cricketer, who played for Central Districts. He is a right-handed batsman primarily, and is an occasional right arm off spin bowler. He is the fastest male cricketer to earn his first cap in all three formats of international cricket, doing so in the space of twelve days. His batting style is akin to Virender Sehwag, with minimal foot movement, and he has credited Sehwag to helping his batting improve. Early life Whilst being a talented cricketer, Ingram was also considered to represent his hometown in rugby. However, he gave up rugby when he broke his jaw during a trial. Domestic career Ingram has played for the Central Stags since 2001, becoming an integral part of an opening pair, with Jamie How. Black Caps
The New Zealand national cricket team represents New Zealand in men's international cricket. Named the Black Caps, they played their first Test cricket, Test in 1930 against England cricket team, England in Christchurch, becoming the fifth country to play Test cricket. From 1930 New Zealand had to wait until 1956, more than 26 years, for its first Test victory, against the West Indies cricket team, West Indies at Eden Park in Auckland. Francis Douglas Memorial College is an all-boys state integrated Catholic school with boarding facilities located in Westown, New Plymouth, New Zealand. The college was founded in 1959 under the leadership of the De La Salle Brothers, a religious order of brothers based on the teachings of St. Jean-Baptiste de la Salle. It is one of two secondary schools established by the Brothers in New Zealand, the other being De La Salle College, Mangere East, Auckland. Hawke Cup
The Hawke Cup is a non-first-class cricket competition for New Zealand's district associations. Apart from 1910–11, 1912–13 and 2000–01 the competition has always been on a challenge basis. To win the Hawke Cup, the challengers must beat the holders, either outright or on the first innings in a drawn match, on the holders' home ground. Teams from New Zealand's four main centres, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, have not usually competed for the Hawke Cup, although they did participate in the latter half of the 1990s. They were excluded again from the 2000–01 season. From 2000 to 2010 the team from Hamilton, New Zealand's fourth-largest urban area, was the most successful. Taranaki cricket team represents the Taranaki Region of New Zealand. It competes in the Hawke Cup. Taranaki as a representative team played as early as 1877. First-class matches Between 1883 and 1898 Taranaki played eight matches that are now considered first-class. They won one match, lost six and drew one. 1882–83 * At Auckland Domain in March 1883, Auckland 241 defeated Taranaki 63 and 55 by an innings and 123 runs. Aaron Redmond
Aaron James Redmond (born 23 September 1979) is a former New Zealand international cricketer. He was a member of the Otago cricket team for ten seasons. Redmond is a right-handed batsman who debuted for Canterbury in the 1999/2000 season, playing first-class and list A matches for them. His father is Rodney Redmond, an international cricketer who scored 107 and 56 on debut for New Zealand in 1972/1973 against Pakistan at Auckland.
