Peter F. Leuch
Peter F. Leuch (December 1, 1883 – August 12, 1959) was an American lawyer from Milwaukee who served as that city's city clerk, and served one term as a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. Leuch was born in the town of Milwaukee. Leuch attended Milwaukee public schools, studied at McDonald Business College and Chicago Correspondence School of Law. He then graduated from Marquette College and Milwaukee Law School and was admitted to the Wisconsin bar in January 1908. He worked for the Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company in the office. He was elected to the Assembly in 1908 on the Republican ticket, and was defeated for re-election in 1910 by Social Democrat Edward H. Kiefer. He was later elected City Clerk of the city of Milwaukee, and held that office in 1915. Milwaukee (town), Wisconsin
The Town of Milwaukee (not to be confused with the City of Milwaukee) was a town in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States, created on March 17, 1835. A number of Milwaukee County municipalities, beginning with the City of Milwaukee, were created out of portions of it. After the last portions of the town were annexed, it officially ceased to exist in 1955. Geography The Town of Milwaukee was originally co-terminous with Milwaukee County itself. In 1838, the territorial legislature divided the County into two townships: Milwaukee, encompassing everything north of the present Greenfield Avenue, and the Town of Lake encompassing everything South of the present Greenfield Avenue. Cedarburg, Wisconsin
Cedarburg is a city in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. Located about north of Milwaukee and in close proximity to Interstate 43, it is a suburban community in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The city incorporated in 1885, and at the time of the 2020 census the population was 12,121. Like many of Ozaukee County's cities and villages, the City of Cedarburg began as a mill town. German immigrants began building hydropowered gristmills and woolen mills along Cedar Creek in the 1840s. The community that sprang up around the mills is now downtown Cedarburg. The city was distinctly German into the early 20th century, with several Lutheran churches, a brewery, a European-style spa resort called Hilgen Spring Park, and many German cultural associations, including two Turner societies.
