Peter Crittle
Charles Peter Crittle AO (born 21 July 1939) is an Australian former barrister, rugby union player and official. The majority of his secondary education was at Sydney Boys High School where he played in the First XV. Before then he was briefly at North Sydney Boys High School. As a lock, he made 15 test match appearances for the Australia national rugby union team from 1962–1967. Crittle gave a great deal to Australian Rugby. He chaired the first national coaching panel in 1974 and then coached many young and up and coming players such as Mark and Glen Ella for the highly successful Sydney team in 1981 and 82 and Simon Poidevin for NSW (1982–83). He served as President of the New South Wales Rugby Union from 1993–99, and became President of the Australian Rugby Union in 2001. In 2004, he became an officer of the Order of Australia for his rugby achievements, and in 2005, he received the Vernon Pugh Award for Distinguished Service from the International Rugby Board. The Order of Australia is an honour that recognises Australian citizens and other persons for outstanding achievement and service. It was established on 14 February 1975 by Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia, on the advice of the Australian Government. Before the establishment of the order, Australian citizens received British honours. Ken Catchpole
Kenneth William Catchpole (21 June 1939 – 21 December 2017) was an Australian rugby union footballer. A New South Wales Waratahs, state and Australia national rugby union team, national representative half-back, he played twenty-seven matches for Australia, thirteen as captain. Catchpole rose through the ranks at the Randwick DRUFC, Randwick club as a young man, before making his debut for New South Wales at only 19 years of age, then captaining Australia at age 21. He is considered one of Australia's greatest rugby scrumhalves. John Thornett
John Edward Thornett, MBE (30 March 1935 – 4 January 2019) was an Australian rugby union player, who played 37 Tests for Australia between 1955 and 1967 and made an additional 77 representative match appearances. He captained Australia in 16 Test matches and on an additional 47 tour matches on the eight international rugby tours he made with Wallaby squads.
