Peter Christofilakos
Peter Harold Christofilakos (born May 28, 1981) is a former professional American football kicker. He attended the University of Illinois and was a soccer team player. He was a member of the Bloomington Extreme/Edge and Arizona Rattlers. High school Peter played soccer and football at Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. He holds the Central State 8 Conference's record for longest field goals with a 46 yarder. He was a three-year starter on the soccer team. His senior year, he was named All-state in soccer as well as football. He led the soccer team to the 1999 tournament and was named Most Valuable Player. To this day he still holds the school record in soccer goals with 123. In his senior year he played in the All-Star game for Central Illinois. He was the captain of the North Team. Placekicker
Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Prior to the 1934 standardization of the prolate spheroid shape of the ball, drop kicking was the prevalent method of kicking field goals and conversions, but even after its replacement by place kicking, until the 1960s the kicker almost always doubled at another position on the roster.
