Peter Lawrence Boyle (October 18, 1935 – December 12, 2006) was an American actor. Known as a character actor, he played Frank Barone on the CBS sitcom '' Everybody Loves Raymond'' and the comical monster in Mel Brooks' film spoof '' Young Frankenstein'' (1974). He also starred in '' The Candidate'' (1972). Boyle, who won an Emmy Award in 1996 for a guest-starring role on the Fox science-fiction drama '' The X-Files'', won praise in both comedic and dramatic parts following his breakthrough performance in the 1970 film '' Joe'', and as Wizard in ''Taxi Driver'' (1976). Early life Peter Lawrence Boyle was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, the son of Alice (née Lewis) and Francis Xavier Boyle. Peter Boyle (footballer, Born 1876)
Peter Boyle (26 April 1876 – 24 June 1939) was an Irish footballer and manager. Born in Carlingford in Ireland, Boyle was a left back whose most successful playing spell was with Sheffield United with whom he reached the FA Cup Final on three occasions, playing on the winning side on two of them. He also played for Sunderland and Motherwell as well as representing Ireland on five occasions. He later had a brief spell as player-manager with York City in 1912. Career Club career Boyle moved from his home in Scotland to join Sunderland in 1896, making his Football League debut against Blackburn Rovers in December of that year. After two years at the Wearside club he moved south to the League champions Sheffield United in December 1898 for £175. Peter Boyle (24 March 1951 – c. 18 January 2013), was a football striker and manager, who played for Australia at international level. Career Boyle began his career with Scottish junior side Larkhall Thistle, before signing for Clyde in 1972. He netted 32 goals in 119 league appearances for the Shawfield club, before moving to Australia in 1977 to join West Adelaide Hellas Soccer Club in the Phillips National Soccer League. Peter Boyle is an Irish Gaelic footballer who has played as a goalkeeper for Aodh Ruadh and the Donegal county team. Playing career Boyle played throughout the 2010 Ulster Under-21 Football Championship campaign, and made noteworthy contributions during the four-point semi-final victory over Derry. He was still a minor. He then played in the final of the 2010 All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship, which Donegal (managed by Jim McGuinness) narrowly lost to Dublin (managed by Jim Gavin). His prospects at senior level under McGuinness's management were limited by the presence of established number one Paul Durcan and, also by Michael Boyle. Peter Boyle, FRSE FFPH FRCPS(Glas) FRCP(Edin) FMedSci, (8 June 1951 – 23 July 2022) was a British epidemiologist. He conducted research on globalisation of cancer, where he showed the dramatic increase of cancer in low- and medium income countries. Early life and education Boyle was born in Glasgow, Scotland and studied statistics at the University of Glasgow (BSC in 1974) and received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Epidemiology in 1985 from the University of Glasgow, Faculty of Medicine). Peter Boyle (born 27 May 1946) is an English film editor with more than 30 feature film credits. His work on the film '' The Hours'' (2002) was nominated for the Academy Award, the BAFTA Award, and the ACE Eddie, and other honors. Boyle is a graduate of Bradfield College, and began his career working with director Richard Lester. After more than a decade of work as an assistant on feature films and editing commercials, his first credit as editor of a feature film was for '' McVicar'' in 1980. He has worked regularly on features and television films since then. From 1988 through 2006, Boyle edited five of the films directed by Kevin Reynolds. Boyle has been elected as a member of the American Cinema Editors.
