Peter Boyle (Gaelic Footballer)
Peter Boyle is an Irish Gaelic footballer who has played as a goalkeeper for Aodh Ruadh and the Donegal county team. Playing career Boyle played throughout the 2010 Ulster Under-21 Football Championship campaign, and made noteworthy contributions during the four-point semi-final victory over Derry. He was still a minor. He then played in the final of the 2010 All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship, which Donegal (managed by Jim McGuinness) narrowly lost to Dublin (managed by Jim Gavin). His prospects at senior level under McGuinness's management were limited by the presence of established number one Paul Durcan and, also by Michael Boyle. However, McGuinness called him into the senior squad upon his appointment in late-2010 and Boyle did start for Donegal in McGuinness's first National Football League game in charge against Sligo in 2011. Aodh Ruadh CLG
Aodh Ruadh CLG are a GAA club based in the town of Ballyshannon in County Donegal. Historically one of their county's most successful GAA clubs, they have won 12 Donegal Senior Football Championships, they currently compete in Division 1 of the league and the Senior Championship. The club colours are green and white and they play their home games at Fr Tierney Park. History Aodh Ruadh was founded in 1909 as a football and hurling club. Fr Tierney Park opened officially in 1954. Jim "Natch" Gallagher was mentor to Donegal's 1972 and 1974 Ulster Senior Football Championship-winning teams. Letterkenny ( ga, Leitir Ceanainn , meaning 'hillside of the O'Cannons'), nicknamed 'the Cathedral Town', is the largest and most populous town in County Donegal, a county in Ulster, the northern province in Ireland. O'Donnell Park
O' Donnell Park ( ga, Páirc uí Dhomhnail) is a GAA stadium in County Donegal, Ireland. The home ground of the St Eunan's club, it is situated between the Letterkenny Regional Sports and Leisure Complex and Ballymacool Park on the outskirts of the town. The Donegal county football team uses O'Donnell Park as a venue for matches (as does the county hurling team). History The ground has hosted Gaelic games since the 1930s when the St Eunan's club bought the land for £300. The ground opened on Sunday 2 May 1937, with the Bishop of Raphoe's blessing of the park, a hurling match between Donegal and Antrim, an address from GAA President Bob O'Keeffe and a football match between Donegal and Armagh.
