Peter Anthony Freeman
Peter Anthony Freeman is a Welsh author, politician and storyteller. Career Freeman was heavily involved with the Welsh community in Los Angeles where he was President of the Welsh League of Southern California, won the Los Angeles Eisteddfod Honorary Recognition for Bardic Achievements in 2013, and wrote several books on Welsh culture. Freeman also served as History and Mythology Editor of Celtic Family Magazine from 2013 to 2015. In 2017 he was elected a council member for Plaid Cymru in Pembrey, Wales. In April 2019, Freeman was elected and accepted the position of Mayor of Pembrey and Burry Port. Carmarthenshire County Council Election, 2017
The sixth election to Carmarthenshire County Council was held on 4 May 2017 as part of wider local elections across Wales. The election was preceded by the 2012 election. It will be followed by the 2022 election Plaid Cymru narrowly missed out in forming the first majority administration in Carmarthenshire Council's history, despite gaining eight seats in the election. The Labour Party maintained its position from the 2012-2017 term, with the Independents losing many seats in the rural areas of Carmarthenshire to Plaid Cymru. Pembrey
Pembrey (Welsh: ''Pen-bre'') is a village in Carmarthenshire, Wales, situated between Burry Port and Kidwelly, overlooking Carmarthen Bay, with a population of about 2,154 in 2011. The electoral ward having a population of 4,301. It is in the community of Pembrey and Burry Port Town. History The name Pembrey is an Anglicisation of the Welsh, ''Pen-bre''. "Pen" is a Welsh word meaning head or top, and "bre" is an old Celtic word for a promontory. The coastline began its retreat from the foot of Pembrey Mountain some 6,000 years ago, revealing land which shows human occupation since the Iron Age, with hill forts dating from around 400 BC. The population of the region was known to the Romans as Demetae. Roman pottery remains have been unearthed in the oldest parts of the village. Llanelli
Llanelli ("St Elli's Parish"; ) is a market town and the largest community in Carmarthenshire and the preserved county of Dyfed, Wales. It is located on the Loughor estuary north-west of Swansea and south-east of the county town, Carmarthen. The town had a population of 25,168 in 2011, estimated in 2019 at 26,225. The local authority was Llanelli Borough Council when the county of Dyfed existed, but it has been under Carmarthenshire County Council since 1996. Lorin Morgan-Richards (born February 16, 1975) is an American author, illustrator, and songwriter, primarily known for his young adult fiction and Weird West series ''The Goodbye Family''.
