Peter Aderhold
Peter Aderhold (born 1966) is a German composer and conductor. Life and career Born in Berlin, Aderhold studied conducting (with Horst Förster, Olaf Koch (conductor), Olaf Koch, Heinz Rögner) and composition (Günter Kochan) at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin from 1982 to 1988. In 1988, he passed his Staatsexamen in composition with the ballet music ''Diana;'' this he premiered as conductor on the occasion of the GDR Music Days in Berlin in 1990 with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Berlin Symphony Orchestra; it was broadcast several times on radio and television. From 1988 to 1993, he was conductor at the Volkstheater Rostock, then in 1994/95, he moved to the Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach as conductor. Since 1991, he has been chief conductor of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Youth Orchestra (among others first prize in the 1997 "Youth and Music in Vienna" competition). The Bayerische Staatsoper is a German opera company based in Munich. Its main venue is the Nationaltheater München, and its orchestra the Bayerische Staatsorchester. History The parent ensemble of the company was founded in 1653, under Electress consort Princess Henriette Adelaide of Savoy, when Giovanni Battista Maccioni's ''L'arpa festante'' was performed in the court theatre. ''Die Neue Zeit'' (German: "The New Times") was a German socialist theoretical journal of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) that was published from 1883 to 1923. Adeline Virginia Woolf (; ; 25 January 1882 28 March 1941) was an English writer, considered one of the most important modernist 20th-century authors and a pioneer in the use of stream of consciousness as a narrative device. Woolf was born into an affluent household in South Kensington, London, the seventh child of Julia Prinsep Jackson and Leslie Stephen in a blended family of eight which included the modernist painter Vanessa Bell. She was home-schooled in English classics and Victorian literature from a young age. ''A Biography'' is John Mellencamp's second released album (third recorded), and last credited to his then-stage name "Johnny Cougar." Recorded in London, it was released in the U.K. and Australia by Riva Records on March 6, 1978. Due to poor sales of Mellencamp's debut album, ''Chestnut Street Incident'', ''A Biography'' did not receive a U.S. release upon its 1978 debut. Two of its tracks, "Taxi Dancer" and the single "I Need a Lover," were also included on his 1979 album ''John Cougar'', which was released in the U.S. In Australia, however, "I Need a Lover" became a Top 10 hit, giving Mellencamp his first taste of success. The song would eventually crack the Top 40 in the U.S. in late 1979 when released as a single from his ''John Cougar'' album. Sebastian Weigle (born 1961, in East Berlin) is a German conductor and horn player. He is currently ''Generalmusikdirektor'' of the Oper Frankfurt and principal conductor of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. Biography Weigle is a nephew of the conductor and music educator Jörg-Peter Weigle and the brother of the late violist Friedemann Weigle of the Artemis Quartet.
