Pete Nischt (born Peter W. Nischt on October 15, 1986, in Ohio) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist currently residing in Akron, Ohio. His music ranges from folk rock and pop rock to baroque pop and alt-country. He cites his biggest influences as Ryan Adams and the Red House Painters. History Pete Nischt grew up in Medina, Ohio and attended Highland High School (Medina, Ohio) where he stood out as a musician on the trumpet and guitar. After briefly considering a major in Jazz Studies on the trumpet after high school, he relocated to Akron, Ohio in 2005 to attend the University of Akron, study Accounting, and concentrate on songwriting. He played his first solo show in August 2005 at an open-mic night. Over the next year, he made a name for himself playing with childhood friend Kate Voegele and others around Ohio and the Midwest. The Dear Hunter is an American progressive rock band originating in Providence, Rhode Island. It began as a side project of Casey Crescenzo when he was a member of the Receiving End of Sirens, before becoming his main band in 2006. The band's sound features a wide variety of instruments and styles. As Tall As Lions were an indie rock band from Long Island, New York. History High school friends Dan Nigro (lead vocals & guitars), Saen Fitzgerald (guitar, keyboards, & percussion), Brian Fortune (guitars & keyboards) and Cliff Sarcona (drums & percussion) founded the band in December 2001 as they were looking to continue the momentum of a previous project, a group called SundazE. ''Blood and Aphorisms'' '' Blood and Aphorisms'' was released in July 2002, at local venue Backstreet Blues. The Little Willies
The Little Willies is an American alternative country supergroup formed in 2003. It features Norah Jones on piano keyboards and vocals, Richard Julian on guitar keyboards and vocals, Jim Campilongo on guitar, Lee Alexander on bass, and Dan Rieser on drums. Paper Rival was an indie rock band formed in late 2005 from Nashville, Tennessee. Originally known as Keating, the band changed its name to Paper Rival in 2007 after a tour of Canada where the band was mistaken for a Canadian band who already possessed the name.
