Pete Kircher
Peter Derek Kircher (born 21 January 1945, Folkestone, Kent) is a retired English rock/pop drummer. Between 1982 and 1985 he was a member of Status Quo, performing with the band at Live Aid and on the albums '' Live at the N.E.C.'' and '' Back to Back''. Life and career Kircher's style is rhythmic, and much of his work uses a low-tuned snare drum sound. As well as drums, Kircher contributed backing vocals to the bands he played with, and test pressings of a 1973 solo single – "Rockin' Lady" – are known to exist. In the early 1960s, Kircher toured Germany doing club gigs as the drummer for The Burnettes, a band featuring Neil Landon as singer and Noel Redding playing guitar. His earliest documented recordings are with Redding, who later played bass with Jimi Hendrix. Folkestone
Folkestone ( ) is a port town on the English Channel, in Kent, south-east England. The town lies on the southern edge of the North Downs at a valley between two cliffs. It was an important harbour and shipping port for most of the 19th and 20th centuries. There has been a settlement in this location since the Mesolithic era. A nunnery was founded by Eanswith, granddaughter of Æthelberht of Kent in the 7th century, who is still commemorated as part of the town's culture. During the 13th century it subsequently developed into a seaport and the harbour developed during the early 19th century to provide defence against a French invasion. Blue For You
''Blue for You'' is the ninth studio album by English rock band Status Quo. It was released in March 1976, and is the last album until 1980's ''Just Supposin''' that they produced themselves, which resulted in subsequent albums having a noticeably lighter, more pop oriented sound. Rick Parfitt's "Rain", the first single from the album, reached No. 7 in the UK charts after its release in February 1976. Its B-side was the non-album track "You Lost the Love", written by Francis Rossi and Bob Young. The album was released the following month. It entered the British album chart at No. 1 and stayed there for three weeks, making it one of their most successful long players. It was released in the US with a different, black and silver cover, with the title not prominent on the record. Mick Green
Michael Robert Green (22 February 1944 – 11 January 2010) was an English rock and roll guitarist who played with The Pirates (with and without Johnny Kidd), Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, and Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers. Biography Born Michael Robert Green, in Matlock, Derbyshire, Green grew up in the same block of flats in Wimbledon, south-west London, as the future Pirates. Pete Dello
Pete Dello (born Peter Blumsom, 26 May 1942, Oxford, UK) is a 1960s and 1970s singer-songwriter and now music teacher. Career Dello started his career as a musician in the skiffle era of the 1950s and was a founding member of the rock and roll band Grant Tracy and The Sunsets, after which he joined Steve Darbyshire's backing group, The Yum Yum Band, in the mid-1960s. This led onto him forming Honeybus, with whom he scored the hit single " I Can't Let Maggie Go" in 1968. Quickly leaving Honeybus rather than tour and promote the single, he next cut a solo album ''Into Your Ears'' in 1971, and also worked with John Killigrew. Ultimately he quit the music industry for other interests during the 1970s. Since then ''Into Your Ears'' has become a collectable album, with copies selling for over £1,200 in perfect condition. One-hit Wonders
A one-hit wonder or viral hit is any entity that achieves mainstream popularity, often for only one piece of work, and becomes known among the general public solely for that momentary success. The term is most commonly used in regard to music performers with only one hit single that overshadows their other work. Some artists dubbed "one-hit wonders" in a particular country have had great success in other countries. Music artists with subsequent popular albums and hit listings are typically not considered a one-hit wonder. Noel Redding
David Noel Redding (25 December 1945 – 11 May 2003) was an English rock musician, best known as the bass player for the Jimi Hendrix Experience and guitarist/singer for Fat Mattress. Following his departure from the Experience in 1969 and the dissolution of Fat Mattress in 1970, Redding formed the short-lived group Road in the United States, which released the self-titled album ''Road'' before he re-located to Clonakilty, Ireland, in 1972. There he formed the Noel Redding Band with former Thin Lizzy guitarist Eric Bell, with whom he released two albums. Although by the 1980s Redding had largely removed himself from the music business, he would later perform around his new hometown with wife Carol Appleby. Neil Landon
Neil Landon (born Patrick Cahill, 26 July 1941 – 26 March 2020) was an English singer, who has been credited with singing on a number of hits in the UK Singles Chart. In addition, he was a singer and songwriter with the band Fat Mattress, which he co-founded with guitarist/singer Noel Redding. Biography Born in Petworth, Sussex, England, and later based in Folkestone, England, Landon started singing and playing semi-professionally under his real name of Pat Cahill in 1960, replacing Kitson 'Kit' Keen in the Dover based 'Rolling Stones' (no connection with the later famous band of that name).
