Petchdam Lukborai or Petchdam Sor.Bodin ( th, เพชรดำ ลูกบ่อไร่, เพชรดำ ส.บดินทร์) is a Thai former Muay Thai kickboxer who became famous during the late 1980s to early 1990s, the golden age of Muay Thai. Biography and career Petchdam was born in 1963 in Lopburi, central region, but grew up in the Chanthaburi in eastern region. He fought for the first time when he was about 13 years old at a local temple fair, earning 50 baht. He had about 45 fights in various provinces before reaching the prestigious national stadiums, such as the Rajadamnern and Lumpinee Boxing Stadiums. Orono Por Muang Ubon
Orono Por Muang Ubon ( th, โอโรโน่ พ.เมืองอุบล; born January 14, 1973, in Ubon Ratchathani) is a Thai former Muay Thai fighter. Biography and career Orono started Muay Thai at 10 in the Kiatkamchai camp. At 15 he joined the Por Muang Ubon gym in his native Ubon Ratchathani Province to start his Bangkok career, training alongside other notable fighters such as Nungubon Sitlerchai and Nuengtrakarn Por Muang Ubon. His ring name was given to him by a trainer who thought he had a similar face as the boxing champion Rafael Orono who came to compete for a world title in Thailand in 1983 and 1985. Orono rapidly made a name for himself in Bangkok, fighting for the Songchai promotion. He was recognized for his southpaw style and ability to endure punishment. Jongsanan Fairtex ( th, จงสนั่น แฟร์เท็กซ์) is a Thai Muay Thai fighter. Biography and career Jongsanan was born July 24, 1974, in Chaiyaphum Province. He grew up in a poor farming family, he was introduced to Muay Thai by his grandfather with whom he would watch fights on the local television. He wasn't doing well in school and told his parents he wanted to be a fighter. He started fighting in the region from the age of 11. At 16 Jongsanan managed to join the Fairtex Gym in Bangkok through his uncle's connections. The first five months were rough as he didn't receive any training and kept doing various chores until the gym needed him as a last minute replacement. Jomwo Chernyim ( th, จอมโว เชิญยิ้ม) was a Thai Muay Thai fighter. Biography and career Jomwo began to compete in the major Bangkok stadiums in the mid-1970s under the name Jomwo Lukkhaokwang. He fought for a Stadium title for the first time against Tawanook Sitpoonchai in 1977, losing the fight by decision. A year later he lost to Kingthong Sakornpitak in a fight for the vacant Rajadamnern Stadium Bantamweight 118 lbs title. He had another chance on June 5, 1980, but was knocked out by Mafuang Weerapol in the second round.
