Pervomayskoye, Leningrad Oblast
Pervomayskoye (russian: Первома́йское; fi, Kivennapa) is a rural locality (a settlement) in Vyborgsky District of Leningrad Oblast, Russia, located on the Karelian Isthmus, northwest of St. Petersburg. It serves as the administrative center of Pervomayskoye Settlement Municipal Formation—an administrative division of the district—as well as of Pervomayskoye Rural Settlement, which that administrative division is municipally incorporated as. Population: 4,469 ( 2010 Census); 4,496 ( 2002 Census). Prior to 1944, Pervomayskoye was a part of Finland. It was then known as Kivennapa. History The name of Kivennapa seems to come from an old Scandinavian term for a border fortification, ''kivo näb'', but the foreign term was soon corrupted by the locals into ''Kivennapa'', meaning "rock's navel". Olavi Paavolainen
Olavi Paavolainen (17 September 1903 – 19 July 1964) was a Finnish writer, essayist and poet. He was one of the prominent figures of the literary group Tulenkantajat (″The Flame Bearers″), and one of the most influential Finnish writers of the inter-war period. Paavolainen started his poetry career in the literary magazine '' Nuori Voima''. Paavolainen was interested in Fascism and National Socialism, but after the World War II he turned to the political left. Paavolainen's notable works include the 1936 travel report '' Kolmannen valtakunnan vieraana'' (″A Guest of the Third Reich″) and the 1946 ''Synkkä yksinpuhelu'' (″A Gloomy Soliloquy″), based on his war diaries. The Senate of Finland ( fi, Suomen senaatti, sv, Senaten för Finland) combined the functions of cabinet and supreme court in the Grand Duchy of Finland from 1816 to 1917 and in the independent Finland from 1917 to 1918. Häme Province
The Province of Häme ( fi, Hämeen lääni, sv, Tavastehus län) was a province of Finland from 1831 to 1997. In 1997 the southern parts with Kanta-Häme, Päijät-Häme was merged with the province of Uusimaa and Kymi into the new Province of Southern Finland. Zelenogorsk (russian: Зеленого́рск), officially known as Terijoki prior to 1948 (a name still used in Finnish and Swedish), is a administrative divisions of Saint Petersburg, municipal town in Kurortny District of the federal cities of Russia, federal city of Saint Petersburg, St. Petersburg, Russia, located in part of the Karelian Isthmus on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. Pravdino, Krasnoselskoye Settlement Municipal Formation, Vyborgsky District, Leningrad Oblast
Pravdino (russian: Пра́вдино; fi, Kirkkoranta or Muolaa) is a types of inhabited localities in Russia, settlement on the Karelian Isthmus, in Vyborgsky District, Leningrad Oblast, Vyborgsky District of Leningrad Oblast. Until the Winter War and the Continuation War, it had been the administrative center of the Muolaa municipality of the Viipuri Province of Finland.
Before the Winter War Muolaa was divided into two separate municipalities, Äyräpää and Muolaa.
In Pravdino was once the State demesne and manor of Målagård, place of origin and seat 1606-1704 for the Swedish noble family Hästesko af Målagård, ennobled in 1602. It is unknown whether anything today remains of Målagård. The noble family Hästesko af Målagård survives in France only.
