Perumbavoor G. Raveendranath
Perumbavoor G. Raveendranath () is an Indian musician from Kerala. He is well known as a carnatic musician as well as a composer. He lives in Thiruvananthapuram now, though hails from Perumbavoor, Ernakulam. His works always have the deep-rooted carnatic touch in it. Composer Raveendranath has rendered music to many films in Malayalam such as ''Innale'', ''Sneham'', and ''Thoovanathumbikal''. He won the Kerala State Film Award for the best music director for the Padmarajan directed movie ''Innale''. He teamed up with K. J. Yesudas for Tharangani studio to create some of the best devotional albums in Malayalam. His album ''Thrimadhuram'' is one such album. Early life Perumbavoor G. Raveendranath was born to Adv. V. R. The Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Fellowship is an honour presented by the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, an autonomous organisation for the encouragement, preservation, and documentation of the performing arts of Kerala, set up by the Department of Cultural Affairs of the Government of Kerala. Instituted in 1972, the fellowship are given to outstanding artistes who have contributed to the performing arts in the state. Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award is an award given by the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, an autonomous organisation for the encouragement, preservation, and documentation of the performing arts of Kerala, set up by the Department of Cultural Affairs of the Government of Kerala.
