Peru Men's National Volleyball Team
The Peru men's national volleyball team is the national team of Peru. The squad won the bronze medal at the inaugural 1951 South American Championship in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Peru women is one of the dominant forces in the continent, however the dominant forces in men's volleyball on the South American continent are Brazil and Argentina. South American Men's Volleyball Championship
The Men's South American Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of South America, organized by the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol, CSV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1967 Men's South American Volleyball Championship, 1967 they have been awarded every two years. The competition has been dominated by Brazil men's national volleyball team, Brazil, which won 33 of the 34 editions. The only tournament not won by Brazil was the 1964 championship, when the team did not compete due to 1964 Brazilian coup d'état, political turmoil in the country.
