Perspectives (TV Series)
''Perspectives'' is a current British television arts documentary series for ITV. The show began airing on 24 April 2011 and aired its fifth series in 2015. Format Each hour long programme sees well-known celebrities (who have included Ian McKellen, David Walliams, Sheila Hancock and Paul O'Grady) travel to various parts of the world to explore more about a person who has inspired them. They're not all people, some can be books such as Griff Rhys Jones whose chosen subject was the novel ''The Wind in the Willows ''The Wind in the Willows'' is a children's novel by the British novelist Kenneth Grahame, first published in 1908. ITV (TV Channel)
ITV1 (formerly known as ITV) is a British free-to-air Public service broadcasting in the United Kingdom, public broadcast television channel owned and operated by the British media company ITV plc. John Sergeant (journalist)
John James Sergeant (born 14 April 1944) is an English television and radio journalist and broadcaster. He was the BBC's Chief Political Correspondent from 1992 to 2000 and the Political Editor of ITN from 2000 until 2002. Early life The son of a missionary and linguist, Sergeant is of Russian origin on his mother's side. Sergeant's early life meant that he followed his father's work, and was brought up in locations including Jerusalem and Oxford. Sergeant was educated at Great Tew Primary School, briefly at the independent Bloxham School near Banbury, in Oxfordshire, and then at the independent Millfield School in Street, Somerset. Sergeant graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford, where he studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Whilst at university Sergeant performed in student comedy revues. Len Goodman
Leonard Gordon Goodman (born 25 April 1944) is an English professional ballroom dancer, dance judge, and coach. He has appeared as head judge on the television dance programmes ''Strictly Come Dancing'', a programme where various celebrities compete for the glitter ball trophy, from its beginning in 2004 until 2016 and ''Dancing with the Stars'' from 2005 until 2022. He also runs a ballroom dance school in Dartford, Kent. Early life Goodman was born in London. Ashley Banjo
Ashley Modurotolu Banjo is an English street dancer, choreographer and actor. He is the leader of dance troupe Diversity who won the third series of ''Britain's Got Talent''. Banjo was a judge on the Sky1 talent show ''Got to Dance'' and co-presenter of the Saturday night BBC game show '' Can't Touch This''. Since 2018, he has been a judge on ''Dancing on Ice''. Bruce Forsyth
Sir Bruce Joseph Forsyth-Johnson (22 February 1928 – 18 August 2017) was a British entertainer and presenter whose career spanned more than 70 years. Forsyth came to national attention from the late 1950s through the ITV series ''Sunday Night at the London Palladium''. Alfie Boe
Alfred Giovanni Roncalli Boe (born 29 September 1973) is an English tenor and actor, notably performing in musical theatre. Gary Kemp
Gary James Kemp (born 16 October 1959) is an English singer, songwriter, musician and actor, best known as the lead guitarist, backing vocalist, and principal songwriter for the New Romantic band Spandau Ballet. Kemp wrote the lyrics and music for all 23 of Spandau Ballet's hit singles, including "To Cut a Long Story Short", "True", "Gold", " Chant No. 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)", "Through the Barricades" and "Only When You Leave". Alan Davies
Alan Roger Davies (; born 6 March 1966) is an English stand-up comedian, writer, actor and TV presenter. He is best known for his portrayal of the title role in the BBC mystery drama series ''Jonathan Creek'' (1997–2016) and as the only permanent panellist on the BBC panel show '' QI'' since its premiere in 2003, outlasting its original host Stephen Fry. Olga TV
Olga TV is a British independent television production company set up by the entertainer and talk show host, Paul O'Grady in 2005. Named after O'Grady's pet dog, Olga the company is best known for producing shows such as ''The Paul O'Grady Show'' for Channel 4. The Paul O'Grady Show ended on Channel 4 on 18 December 2009, as O'Grady had signed a new deal with ITV. Between 2010 and 2011, Olga TV produced Friday night ITV chatshow ''Paul O'Grady Live'', however on 7 October 2011, it was announced that the show had been cancelled. Paul O'Grady's latest show ''For the Love of Dogs'' is not produced by Olga TV, but with Shiver instead.
