"Personally" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Karla Bonoff which was released as the lead single from her 1982 album ''Wild Heart of the Young''. The song is Bonoff's only top 40 hit single. First recordings "Personally" was first recorded in 1973 by its composer Paul Kelly, with Gene Page producing: however the track was not released although Kelly would record a new version of his composition for his 1993 album ''Gonna Stick and Stay''. Ronald Dean McDowell Sr. (born March 25, 1950) is an American country music artist, songwriter, and actor. He is best known for his 1977 song "The King Is Gone", a tribute to Elvis Presley, who had recently died. From that single onward, McDowell charted more than thirty Top 40 hits on the ''Billboard'' country music charts, though he never experienced further pop success after "The King is Gone." Two of his singles – "Older Women" and " You're Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation" — reached Number One on the country charts, while eleven more reached Top Ten. Helen Watson (singer-songwriter)
Helen Watson is an English singer-songwriter. Her music encompasses blues, soul, jazz, pop and folk. Biography Born in Manchester, she began performing on the folk-club circuit during the late 1960s whilst working as a teacher in Manchester. During the 1970s and 1980s she was a singer with blues band Loose Lips and a member of the Manchester quartet Well Knit Frames, which also included Martin McGroarty (who would become her regular writing partner). Watson was also a backing singer with Carmel on an extensive world tour. She sang on several of Suns of Arqa's early LPs (''Musical Revue'', ''Wadada Magic'', ''India?'') which were released between 1983 and 1984. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, she is best known for her gold single 1970 song "Precious, Precious," which reached No. 30 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart on March 6, 1971. This disc sold over one million copies, and received a gold disc awarded by the R.I.A.A. in March 1971.
