Amundsen (film)
''Amundsen '' is a Norwegian film, released on 15 February 2019, that details the life of Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen. It was directed by Espen Sandberg and was distributed in Norway by SF Studios. Plot Flying in an Arctic storm, elderly Roald Amundsen's plane crashes, stranding him and his companions. Waiting for news while the world assumes he has died, his brother Leon recounts the explorer's life story to Roald's Alaskan lover Bess Magids. As boys, Roald and Leon are enchanted by the unknown poles on a globe. As young men, they pioneer a route through the Northwest Passage. Despite his accomplishments, other explorers still look down upon Roald for showing respect to Inuit. Robert Falcon Scott briefly congratulates him, but would rather talk with politicians. Michel Rubini
Michel Rubini (born December 3, 1942) is an American musician, conductor, arranger, producer, songwriter and composer. A professional classical pianist since early childhood, he was a prolific session musician of the 1960s and '70s, part of a group known as " The Wrecking Crew", and worked with such artists Ray Charles, Frank Zappa, Sonny and Cher and Barbra Streisand. He has also written several film scores, notably for Tony Scott's ''The Hunger'' (1983) and Michael Mann's ''Manhunter'' (1986), and the television series ''Capitol'' (1982-87) and ''The Hitchhiker'' (1984-87). Dennis Dreith (born June 15, 1948 in Glendale, California) is a musician, record producer and a television & motion picture composer, arranger, and conductor. He is also known as an influential advocate for performer's rights. Life Dreith showed a talent for music at an early age. He learned to play a variety of keyboard and reed instruments while still in his teens. While in college, Dreith played woodwinds and toured with Paul Revere & the Raiders and The Beach Boys. Arturo Sandoval
Arturo Sandoval is a Cuban-American jazz trumpeter, pianist, and composer. While living in his native Cuba, Sandoval was influenced by jazz musicians Charlie Parker, Clifford Brown, and Dizzy Gillespie. In 1977 he met Gillespie, who became his friend and mentor and helped him defect from Cuba while on tour with the United Nations Orchestra. Sandoval became an American naturalized citizen in 1998. Donald Rubinstein is a film composer, singer/songwriter, and multi-media artist who is best known for his collaborations with George A. Romero and Avant-garde jazz/rock collaborations with such musicians as Bill Frisell, Emil Richards and Wayne Horvitz. Education Rubinstein began music studies at Washington University after rejecting his initial studies with Pulitzer Prize winning poet Howard Nemerov. He taught himself the guitar and piano, transferred to the conservatory, and received a B.A. in music from Washington University in 1972. Rubinstein continued studies for two semesters at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He quit studies after finding the experience to be too constraining for his experimental ideas.
