Yechiel Perr
Rabbi Yechiel Yitzchak Perr (born 1935) is an American-born rabbi. He is the founder and rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Derech Ayson (Yeshiva of Far Rockaway) in Far Rockaway, New York. Biography Yechiel Yitzchak Perr grew up in South Ozone Park, Queens, where his father, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Perr served as a rabbi for over 50 years. Rabbi Perr attended high school at Mesivta Yeshiva Rabbi Chaim Berlin. After completing high school, he studied at the Talmudical Yeshiva of Philadelphia, and then at Lakewood Yeshiva in Lakewood, New Jersey under the tutelage of Rabbi Aharon Kotler from 1954 to 1962.Kobre, Eytan. Janet Perr
Janet Perr is an art director, graphic designer, author and illustrator. She has designed record covers, advertisements, posters, CD packages and book covers and is now the creator of the books ''Yiddish For Dogs'' (Hyperion, Sept. 2007) and ''Yiddish For Babies'' (Simon & Schuster 2009). Perr won a Grammy Award for the art direction and design of Cyndi Lauper's debut album ''She's So Unusual''. She has worked with artists such as The Rolling Stones, Run-DMC and Devo. She has also been acknowledged with numerous art directors awards and her work has been featured in the books "Designing For Music" and "1001 Covers". She attended the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and subsequently moved to New York City, where she was a designer at CBS Records and then associate art director at Rolling Stone magazine. George Samuel Perrottet
George Samuel Perrottet (23 February 1790 – 13 January 1870, Pondicherry), also known as Georges Guerrard-Samuel Perrottet, Guerrard Samuel Perrottet, Gustave Samuel Perrotet ic and Samuel Perrottet, was a botanist and horticulturalist from Praz, in the commune of Vully-le-Bas, today Mont-Vully, canton Fribourg Switzerland. After expeditions in Africa and Southeast Asia where he collected plant and animal specimens, he worked in French Pondicherry, India, where he established a botanical garden. He took a special interest in plants of economic importance and was involved in the activities of acclimatisation societies in the various colonies of France. Many of his zoological specimens, sent to museums in France, were examined by other naturalists and named after him.
