Pernille Georgi
Me & My is a Danish Eurodance duo formed by sisters Susanne Georgi (born 27 July 1976) and Pernille Georgi (born 24 July 1974). They are best known for their first international hit song "Dub-I-Dub" (1995), which has been featured on many compilations including the '' Dancemania'' series albums. Music recording certification is a system of certifying that a music recording has shipped, sold, or streamed a certain number of units. The threshold quantity varies by type (such as album, single, music video) and by nation or territory (see List of music recording certifications). Nicole Stokholm Pedersen (born 30 June 1977), known professionally as Sada Vidoo, is a Danish singer and songwriter. She is best known for taking part in series thirteen of ''The X Factor UK'' and '' Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2017''. Life and career Early life and career beginnings Nicole Stokholm Pedersen was born on 30 June 1977 in Copenhagen to a Danish mother and a Palestinian father, who left Vidoo's family when she was young. Because she was bullied at school, she started writing and recording songs as a form of escape. As a result, Vidoo pursued a music career. Under her given name Nicole, she signed a record deal with Virgin Records Denmark in the late 1990s and came to prominence by singing the hook to DJ Aligator's 2000 single "Lollipop". "Baby Boy" is a song recorded by Danish Eurodance act and sisters Me & My, released in December 1995 by EMI as the second single from the act's eponymous album (1995). Co-written by the Georgi sisters, the song enjoyed moderate success in many European countries, reaching number-one in both Denmark and Hungary. Additionally, it peaked at number three in Finland, number 10 in Belgium and number 30 in Austria. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the song reached number 60 in March 1996. The accompanying music video for "Baby Boy" was directed by Danish artist Peter Ravn. It featured Me & My dressed like cats, rabbits and nuns. Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. Joost den Draaijer initiated the Top 40 in the Netherlands. The show currently airs on Fridays from 2 to 6 PM on Qmusic. Hitlisten, also known as Tracklisten, is a Danish top 40 record chart that is updated every Thursday midnight on the website hitlisten.nu. The weekly Danish singles chart Track Top-40 combines the 40 best-selling tracks from legal music downloads and the sales of music singles on either CD or vinyl. The data are collected by Nielsen Music Control, who also compile the chart on behalf of IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry). 1965–1993: early IFPI charts This chart began in April 1965 as a monthly top 20 chart compiled by the Danish branch of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
