Corringham is a town and former civil parish in Essex, England, located directly next to the town of Stanford-le-Hope, about east of London and south of Basildon. Corringham lies on a hill overlooking the Thames between Canvey Island and Tilbury Fort. It is in the unitary authority of Thurrock, north-east of the administrative centre, Grays. ''Hairspray'' is an American musical with music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, with a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, based on John Waters's 1988 film of the same name. The Dance and Drama Awards are a scholarship scheme which subsidises professional vocational training at some of the leading performing arts schools in the United Kingdom.
