Performance Health is a medical and physical therapy supply manufacturing company head-quartered in Illinois, United States. The company is a merge of two companies: Performance Health Inc, which originated in Export, Pennsylvania and Hygenic Corporation which originated in Akron, Ohio. They manufacture and deliver products for the healthcare industry, such as mobility and physical therapy equipment, diagnostic tools, and pain relief products. History Hygenic Corporation was founded in 1925 by Walter P. Keith. They originated the Thera-Band, Dyna-Band, Parabath, and Hygenic products. In 2006, Hygenic bought Performance Health Inc., a company from Export, Pennsylvania that makes the Biofreeze topical analgesic and the Prossage warming massage ointment. Warrenville, Illinois
Warrenville is a near west suburb in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. At the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 13,140, which was estimated to have increased to 13,174 by July 2019. It is a part of the Chicago metropolitan area and the Illinois Technology and Research Corridor. History Warrenville was founded in 1833 when Julius Warren and his family moved west from New York seeking a fresh start from a failing gristmill and distillery. Daniel Warren, Julius' father, claimed land at what is now McDowell Woods, and Julius claimed land at what is now the Warrenville Grove Forest Preserve. The first major establishment, an inn and tavern, was built in 1838 by Julius Warren himself, as the family was skilled in timber and grain. The inn still stands today, and was renovated in 2002. Export is a borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States, surrounded entirely by the Municipality of Murrysville. The population was 893 at the 2020 census. History A post office called Export has been in operation since 1892. The borough was so named because coal was once mined in and exported from the town.
