''Perform.00'' is a collection of Howard Jones favorites re-recorded by Jones and the backup band that accompanied him on tour to support his 1998 album '' People'', and on the VH-1 Big Rewind tour of the late 90s (where he appeared on the same bill as The Human League and Culture Club Culture Club are an English pop band formed in London in 1981. ''People'' is officially Howard Jones's seventh album, released in 1998. After the US release on Ark 21 Records, ''People'' was a global release via Jones' own record label dtox. The album is a reworked version of the 1997 Japanese-only release '' Angels & Lovers''. The title track and "When Lovers Confess" were deleted and three new tracks added: "Tomorrow Is Now", "Everything", and "Let the People Have Their Say". The album did not chart in the UK. However, the single "Let the People Have Their Say" broke the top 100 barrier in the UK and received ample air play on BBC Radio 2. The tri-fold slip case version features the faces of 210 people, all friends, family and fans of Jones. To promote the album, a tour was organised. Kajagoogoo were a British new wave band, best known for their 1983 hit single "Too Shy", which reached No. 1 in the UK Singles Chart, and the Top 10 in numerous other countries. History Beginnings (1978–1982) Formed in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, in 1978, the band were originally known as Art Nouveau, a four-piece avant-garde group, with Nick Beggs on bass guitar, Steve Askew on lead guitar, Stuart Croxford Neale on keyboards, and Jez Strode on drums. Art Nouveau released a track called "The Fear Machine", which sold a few hundred copies and enjoyed airtime on John Peel's show. In spite of the song's success, the band failed to secure a record deal during this period. In 1981, Art Nouveau advertised for a new lead singer. They ultimately auditioned and chose Christopher Hamill, who then went under the stage name Limahl (an anagram of his surname).
