Gregorio Perfecto
Gregorio Milian Perfecto (November 28, 1891 – August 17, 1949) was a Filipino journalist, politician and jurist who served as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines from 1945 to 1949. A controversial figure who was described as an "apostle of liberal causes", Perfecto was notable for his libertarian views, his colorful writing style, and the frequency of his dissenting opinions while on the Supreme Court. Early life Perfecto was born in Mandurriao, Iloilo. When he was a youth, his family moved to Ligao, Albay, where he received his primary education. He finished his secondary education at San Beda College in Manila. Perfecto entered Colegio de San Juan de Letran, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Sanctum was a Santa Clara, California-based information technology company focused on application security. Sanctum offered a firewall, AppShield, and scanner, AppScan, for application-layer security for Web environments. In 2003 Sanctum was merged with Watchfire and the company was subsequently acquired by IBM. History Sanctum was founded in 1997 as Perfecto Technologies, by Eran Reshef and Gili Raanan. The company released its first product AppShield in summer of 1999. The company has done an extensive research in application security and applying formal methods to real life software in collaboration with Turing Award winner Professor Amir Penueli. USS ''Perfecto'' (SP-86) was a motorboat that served in the United States Navy during World War I. She was built in 1917 by the Greenport Basin and Construction Company in Greenport, New York, and owned by J. J. Phelps of Hackensack, New Jersey. She was acquired by the Navy on 22 June 1917 and placed in service on 25 June 1917. During World War I, ''Perfecto'' served in the 5th Naval District, headquartered in Norfolk Navy Yard in Norfolk, Virginia. Gregorio Perfecto High School ( fil, Mataas na Paaralang Gregorio Perfecto) is a high school in Ricafort St. near Juan Luna St., Tondo, Manila, Philippines that started as the Ismar Annex of Florentino Torres High School. History Founding Gregorio Perfecto High School had its beginnings as an extension of Florentino Torres High School. In 1947, the principal of Florentino Torres High School, Mr. Pablo Reyes, recommended the conversion of Ismar Annex into a separate high schools because it had grown big and unwieldy with 1,375 students and 45 teachers. The recommendation would be followed up and received in succeeding years but to no avail. Planet Perfecto was a dance supergroup, formed in 1997 by Paul Oakenfold, Ian Masterson and Jake Williams. They were signed to Oakenfold's record label, Perfecto Records. Musical career Their first release was "Georgie Girl" on 12" vinyl in 1997; the single did not make it into the UK Singles Chart. However, their next track, "Not Over Yet '99", was more successful entering the UK chart at #16 in August 1999. They worked with a fourth producer, Matt Darey on the track, a remix/re-edit of "Not Over Yet" by Grace to create the track, which was to be the first of four hits for the group. Mariano Perfecto
Mariano Perfecto (1853 - November 3, 1913) was the fifth Governor of Ambos Camarines (1910–1913). Known as a prolific writer, he is considered as the "Father of Bikol Literature," and the "Father of Bisayan Literature." He published the first newspaper in the Bikol language, ''An Parabareta'' (1899–1900) and set up the first printing press in the Bikol region, the ''Libreria y Imprenta Mariana''. His literary output ranged from translations of religious tracts, novenas to poems, short dramas and linguistic works both in the Ilonggo and Bikol languages. Sandra Collins
Sandra Collins is an American DJ, record producer, and remixer. Biography Collins got her start on the West Coast of the U.S. in Phoenix, Arizona and then moved into residencies in Los Angeles, and eventually moved towards trance. She used American producers to give herself a unique sound. Collins performed for an estimated 80,000 people on the first night of Woodstock '99, and was the first female DJ featured in the influential '' Tranceport'' recording series.
