''Perfectly Preserved'' is the second studio album by American Christian metal band Love and Death (band), Love and Death. The album was released on February 12, 2021 through Earache Records. This is the band's first album with current Breaking Benjamin and former Red (band), Red guitarist Jasen Rauch on bass and Phinehas (band), Phinehas drummer Isaiah Perez. Background and release Love and Death's debut album, ''Between Here & Lost'', was released on January 22, 2013 through Tooth & Nail Records. Later that year Welch would rejoin his former band Korn and recorded his first album with that band in ten years, ''The Paradigm Shift''. Love and Death would have sporadic activity over the next few years as Welch focused on his work with Korn. The band released the single "Lo Lamento" on March 15, 2016. Love and Death is an American Christian metal band formed by Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch. The group was officially announced in February 2012 as a re-branding of Welch's solo music project. History Formation and early years (2009–2012) The group is effectively a re-branding of the touring group that performed under Welch's name to promote his solo album. Formed in 2009, Welch recruited musicians through open auditions via YouTube, and second-round auditions, in person, at his studio in Phoenix, Arizona. The original group was a six-piece group, that featured Michael Valentine on bass, Ralph Patlan on guitar, Brian Ruedy on keyboards, Scott "SVH" Von Heldt on guitars and vocals and Dan Johnson on drums. Brian Philip Welch (born June 19, 1970), also known by his stage name Head, is an American musician. He is one of the guitarists and founding member of the nu metal band Korn and his solo project Love and Death, where he also provides vocals.
