Perdono (film)
''Perdono'' (, i.e. "Forgive Me") is a 1966 Italian "musicarello" film directed by Ettore Maria Fizzarotti. It is named after the Caterina Caselli's hit song "Perdono". Plot Federico, his girlfriend Laura and her cousin, Caterina, are three young people full of hope, united by a great friendship that seems indissoluble. Ettore Maria Fizzarotti
Ettore Maria Fizzarotti (1916–1985) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. Born in Naples, the son of the director Armando, he debuted as assistant director in the films of his father, and later collaborated with, among others, Vittorio Cottafavi and Raffaello Matarazzo. He made his directorial debut in 1964, with ''In ginocchio da te'', a musicarello with Gianni Morandi which was panned by critics but which got a large commercial success. Marisa Del Frate
Marisa Del Frate (11 March 1931 – 5 February 2015) was an Italian actress, singer, and television personality. Life and career Born in Rome, Del Frate started her career as a model and took part in several beauty contests. In 1957, she successfully debuted as a singer winning the Festival di Napoli with the song "Malinconico autunno". In 1958, Del Frate entered the competition at the Sanremo Music Festival with the songs "Quando il cuore" and "Ho disegnato un cuore". Shortly later, she was chosen by Erminio Macario as primadonna in the revue ''Chiamate Arturo 777''; from then, Del Frate started a successful career as soubrette, actress, and television presenter. Titanus Films
Titanus is an Italian film production company, founded in 1904 by Gustavo Lombardo (1885–1951). The company's headquarters are located at 28 Via Sommacampagna, Rome and its studios on the Via Tiburtina, 13 km from the centre of Rome. Lombardo ran the studios until his death in 1951. His son, Goffredo Lombardo (1920–2005) and later his grandson, Guido Lombardo have continued to run the company. The company has been responsible for hundreds of Italian productions. The musicarello (; plural: musicarelli) is a film subgenre which emerged in Italy and which is characterised by the presence in main roles of young singers, already famous among their peers, and their new record album. In the films there are almost always tender and chaste love stories accompanied by the desire to have fun and dance without thoughts. Musicarelli reflect the desire and need for emancipation of young Italians, highlighting some generational frictions. The genre began in the late 1950s, and had its peak of production in the 1960s. Nino Terzo
Nino Terzo (22 May 1923 – 8 May 2005) was an Italian actor. Life and career Born in Palermo as Antonino Terzo, he worked intensively in the avanspettacolo and revue theater, entering the stage companies of Totò, Peppino De Filippo, Franco and Ciccio, Domenico Modugno, among others. Terzo was also active as a singer, appearing in several operettas. Terzo made his film debut in 1962, and he soon established himself as one of the most active character actors in the Italian comedy cinema, usually playing, with small variations, the character that made him famous in avanspettacolo, i.e. a man with extremely slow reflexes and a huge speech impediment, which does not allow him to speak before he loudly inhaled and exhaled. Milena Vukotic (, ; born 23 April 1935) is an Italian former ballerina and a stage, television, and film actress. Biography Vukotic was born in Rome, to a Serb Montenegrin comedy playwright father and an Italian pianist/composer mother. As a child she studied acting and classical dance, in Italy and France.
