Per Tønseth
Per Tønseth (1914 – 9 November 1993) was a Norwegian judge. He grew up in Southern Norway, and took the cand.jur. degree in 1939. After a period as deputy judge he was an auxiliary judge in Follo from 1945 to 1949 and Eidsivating Court of Appeal from 1949 to 1950. Then, three years in the Ministry of Finance followed. From 1953 to 1961 he was district stipendiary magistrate in Vesterålen, and from 1961 to 1969 in Eiker, Modum and Sigdal District Court. From 1969 to his retirement in 1984 he served as a Supreme Court Justice. He was decorated as a Commander of the Order of St. Olav in 1979. Southern Norway
Southern Norway ( no, Sørlandet; lit. "The Southland") is the geographical region (''landsdel'') along the Skagerrak coast of southern Norway. The region is an informal description since it does not have any governmental function. It roughly corresponds to the old petty kingdom of Agder as well as the two former counties of Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder. From New Year 2020, the two counties have been merged into one county, Agder. The total combined area of Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder counties is . The name is relatively new, having first been used in Norway around 1900. The region includes coastal areas along the Skagerrak and extends inland to the Setesdalsheiene mountains. There are many large valleys running from the mountains to the south and east to the sea. Follo, Norway
Follo (old spelling Foldouge) is one of three traditional and judicional districts in the former fylke (county) of Akershus, Norway - south east of Oslo towards the former county of Østfold, the other two regions being Romerike (east of Oslo following european route E6 going east and then north in Norway) and Asker og Bærum (west of Oslo). Follo borders Oslo to the North-West, fellow Akershus district Romerike to the North-East and East, and Østfold to the south. The municipalities of Frogn and Vestby have coast lines along the Oslofjord. Ås and Oppegård have coast lines along the Bunnefjord (a part of the Oslofjord that extends south-east), and Nesodden has coast lines along both fjords. Eidsivating Court Of Appeal
The Eidsivating Court of Appeal ( no, Eidsivating lagmannsrett) is one of six courts of appeal in the Kingdom of Norway. The Court is located in the city of Hamar. The court has jurisdiction over the counties of Innlandet and eastern Viken. These areas constitute the Eidsivating judicial district ( no, Eidsivating lagdømme). Drøbak
Drøbak is a List of cities in Norway, town and the centre of the municipality of Frogn, in Viken county, Norway. The city is located along the Oslofjord, and has 13,409 inhabitants. History Drøbak and Frogn was established as a parish on its own through a royal decree on 8 September 1823. It had been a part of Ås parish. Drøbak was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). It was merged with Frogn on 1 January 1962. Traditionally, Drøbak was the winter harbour of Norway's capital, Oslo, since in severe winters the fjord will freeze from outside Drøbak all the way up to Oslo. It had city status between 1842 and 1962, upon which point the municipality was merged into the rural municipality Frogn and lost its city status.
