Per Emanuel Werming
Per Emanuel Werming (10 February 1840 – 20 July 1920) was a Swedish architect. Biography Werming was born in Gustav Adolf parish near Hagfors in Värmland County. He was trained at the Stockholm Crafts School and continued his education at the Royal Institute of Art until 1867. He became City Architect in Stockholm in 1879 and designed many public buildings in Stockholm during the remainder of his career. Some of his major works are Saint Göran Hospital (1888), the similar designs for the Norra Real and Södra Latin secondary schools and Stockholms epidemisjukhus. Hagfors
Hagfors is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Hagfors Municipality, Värmland County, Sweden with 10,125 inhabitants in 2010. Its history is traced to 1873, when it was decided to build two blast furnaces at the location. The town of Hagfors plays host to the Swedish Rally, a car rally, every February, which provides a significant annual economic windfall for the region. Hagfors was one of the last places in Sweden to receive the formal title of a cities in Sweden, city, when it was detached from ''Norra Råda'' in 1950. The designated coat of arms was a tribute to the furnaces. At that time the town had 6,501 inhabitants. Today it is the seat of the much larger Hagfors Municipality, but is not an administrative entity of its own. Climate The Hagfors area has a subarctic climate due to the area's cool nights. Värmland County
Värmland County (''Värmlands län'') is a county or '' län'' in west central Sweden. It borders the Swedish counties of Dalarna, Örebro and Västra Götaland, as well as the Norwegian counties of Viken and Innlandet to the west. Prince Carl Philip is Duke of Värmland. Konstfack
Konstfack, or University of Arts, Crafts and Design, is a university college for higher education in the area of art, crafts and design in Stockholm, Sweden. History Konstfack has had several different names since it was founded in 1844 by the ethnologist and artist Nils Månsson Mandelgren as a part-time art school for artisans, under the name "Söndags-Rit-skola för Handtverkare" ("Sunday Drawing School for Artisans"). The school was taken over by ''Svenska Slöjdföreningen'' (today known as Svensk form) the next year and renamed ''Svenska Slöjdföreningens skola''. Saint Göran Hospital (Swedish: ''Sankt Görans sjukhus'') is a hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. It is located on Kungsholmen, a small island in the lake Mälaren in the city center. Norra Real
Norra Real ("Northern Real") is an upper-secondary school, located on Roslagsgatan 1 in Stockholm, Sweden. The school is the oldest upper-secondary school in Stockholm and one of the most difficult to get accepted into. A number of prominent researchers and Swedish socialites have attended the school, including Manne Siegbahn (Nobel Prize laureate in Physics), Gunnar Myrdal (Nobel Prize laureate in Economic Sciences), Horace Engdahl (permanent secretary of the Swedish Academy from 1999 to June 2009), and Leif G. W. Persson (criminologist and novelist). Södra Latin, officially Södra Latins gymnasium, ("Southern Latin" in Swedish) is an upper secondary school ("''gymnasieskola''"), situated in Södermalm, Stockholm. Roslagstull Hospital ( Swedish: Roslagstulls sjukhus) is a former isolation hospital in Stockholm, situated in the Royal National City Park close to Roslagstull in the northern part of the inner city. The hospital was founded in 1893 as Stockholms epidemisjukhus and closed in 1992. Six of the former hospital buildings were preserved. Today, most of the former hospital area and preserved buildings have been incorporated into the AlbaNova university centre which is jointly operated by Stockholm University and KTH.
