Pepe El Toro
''Pepe the Bull'' ( es, Pepe El Toro) is a 1953 Mexican sports drama film directed by Ismael Rodríguez and starring Pedro Infante, Evita Muñoz "Chachita" and Amanda del Llano. It was the last in a trilogy of films featuring Infante and Muñoz playing the father and daughter characters (Pepe El Toro and Chachita, respectively) in the 1948 releases ''Nosotros los Pobres (We the Poor)'' and ''Ustedes los ricos (You the Rich)''. A planned fourth film in the series was cancelled when Infante died in 1957. The film was nominated for three Ariel Awards. Ismael Rodríguez
Ismael Rodríguez (October 19, 1917 – August 7, 2004) was a Mexican film director. Rodríguez rose to fame due to the movies he directed starring Pedro Infante, and directed many major stars, including Dolores del Río, María Félix, Toshiro Mifune, Jorge Negrete, Sara García, Luis Aguilar, Tito Guízar, Gloria Marín, Carmelita González, Antonio Aguilar, Columba Domínguez or Flor Silvestre. He directed the film '' Ánimas Trujano'' (1961) for which he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. Rodríguez's most renowned international film is ''Tizoc'', in which Pedro Infante starred alongside María Félix. For this role, Infante won the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 7th Berlin International Film Festival The 7th annual Berlin International Film Festival was held from 21 June to 2 July 1957. Freddy Fernández (actor)
Alfredo Jesús Fernández Sáenz (January 16, 1934 – May 10, 1995) was a Mexican film and television actor, nicknamed El Pichi. Fernández was born in Mexico City, the only son of Alfredo Fernández and Elisa Sáenz Rojas. As a youth, he joined the Children's Fine Arts Theatre Company of Fine Arts under the direction of Clementina Otero. The nickname "El Pichi" was given to Fernández by producer Luis Manrique during the making of the film '' Callejera'' in 1949. He received the Virginia Fábregas medal from National Association of Actors (ANDA) for his 25 year career and was nominated three times for an Ariel Award. His son is Alfredo Fernández ("El Pato"). He died on May 10, 1995, of esophageal cancer in Mexico City, aged 61. His remains were buried in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, his son's garden. Irma Aguirre Martínez (born 21 December 1933), commonly known as Irma Dorantes, is a Mexican actress, singer, and equestrian. One of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Career Her first film, '' Los tres huastecos'', was released in 1948. Dorantes participated in many Mexican films of the 1950s and 1960s. In 1963, she was nominated for a Silver Goddess Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in ''Sol en llamas'' (1962). Aside from acting, she is also a successful singer, obtaining gold and platinum records for her versions of the songs "Cuando no sé de ti", "Pequeña", "Ansiedad", "Recuerdos de Ipacarai", and "La Flor de la Canela". She was also known for her equestrian shows. In 1964, Dorantes and her horses Gatillo de Oro and Justiciero headed a touring company at the Million Dollar Theater in Los Angeles, California.
