Flag Of Minnesota
The flag of Minnesota is the State flag#Flag of a subnational state, state flag of Minnesota. Its design features a modified version of the seal of Minnesota on a blue field. The first version of the flag was flown from 1893 until 1957, and was changed to be more easily manufacturable, and the state seal became simpler. The current flag was adopted in 1957 and the Seal of Minnesota, state seal on the flag was modified in 1983. Observers have criticized the flag as racist and white supremacist for its depiction of a Native American "leaving [the land] willingly" to a white settler, despite "state-sponsored violence against people of color...[being] not merely part of Minnesota history but central to it". A bill was introduced in the 2021–2022 session of the Minnesota Legislature to create a task force to discuss possibilities for flag modification and replacement, but this failed in committee. Cole David Aldrich (born October 31, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player. Grady Alderman
Grady Alderman (December 10, 1938 – April 5, 2018) was an American football player and executive. He played professionally as an offensive tackle for 16 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), mostly with the Minnesota Vikings. Faysal Ahmed ( so, Faysal Axmed; born 11 July 1985) is a Somali–American actor from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Early life Ahmed was born one of nine children in 1985 in Yemen. Although his family is originally from Somalia, he grew up in Yemen. His family hails from the Osman Mahamoud sub clan of the larger Majeerteen-Daarod. Roderick MacKinnon (born February 19, 1956) is an American biophysicist, neuroscientist, and businessman. He is a professor of Molecular Neurobiology and Biophysics at Rockefeller University who won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry together with Peter Agre in 2003 for his work on the structure and operation of ion channels. Peter Agre (born January 30, 1949) is an American physician, Nobel Laureate, and molecular biologist, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and director of the Johns Hopkins Malaria Research Institute. In 2003, Agre and Roderick MacKinnon shared the 2003 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for "discoveries concerning channels in cell membranes."
